Bad news for Schwarzer

A whiff of bad news floating over the continent may have singed the nostrils of Socceroos senior citizen Mark Schwarzer, with Fulham reportedly close to signing Martin Stekelenburg from Roma. I can't see Martin Jol splashing the cheddar for the Netherlands number one, only to plonk him on the bench behind Schwarzer, who has been reluctant to commit to the Premier League club.

I Love the guys and what he has done for the roos, but if he isn't playing week in week out we can't afford to take hime to the WC (if we qualify) and unless he moves to the A league i doubt many clubs in Europe would want a 40+ number 1

There's bound to be a few top level clubs without established keepers who want him. There's defintely a few Championship clubs in England who could do with him.

Could see him at Stoke if Begovic leaves, he's worked with Hughes before.

will get another gig in the prem if not a top division somewhere else he has not go much to worry about his is a proven class keeper.
