ReformFFV is a loose affiliation of like-minded individuals who have been nominated by Clubs for the upcoming Football Federation Victoria Member Elections.

The ReformFFV platform is a simple one – to reform and reunite the Football family of Victoria with the Federation. We strive to achieve this through honest, fair and amicable discussions from Board to Management level so that we are all striving for the same goals.

Please support your ReformFFV Zone Representative Nominees by voting for them in the upcoming FFV Member Elections.

Please read our Candidate Statement and overall background to the issues facing many of the Federation’s stakeholders.

ReformFFV is not an affiliated or recognised body of the Football Federation of Victoria.

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am standing for election as a Zone Representative for Football Federation Victoria on the
ReformFFV platform.
Football in Victoria is going through a significant period of change - one of the major key
stakeholders in this process must be represented by the Zone Representatives which Clubs
elect.
All clubs accross this great state of ours constitute, deliver and enhance the game of football
nearly every weekend of the year in some shape or form - from young juniors who barely
can fit a jersey, all the way through to the Masters leagues where the jerseys are a touch too
small - the majority of club’s concerns in Victoria need to be represented through this process.
As a Zone Representative I along with a number of others across each Zone wish to stand
as a united front on the following agendas and represent our constituents’ best interests.
I am seeking your vote on the ballot on the following principles;
• To be a representative of all the clubs within my Zone through consultation and direction
driven by the majority of clubs. As a Zone Representative I undertake to convene two meetings
annually inviting all the clubs within the Zone to drive and develop the direction within which
we wish to collectively head.
• Ensure there is accountability on governance and financial performance of the orgainsation.
• Seek an urgent review of the state of junior football in Victoria, at club and representative
level with a view to achieve consistent league structures.
• Seek a consultative and effective communication process between the clubs, board and
FFV management to produce favourable and sustainable outcomes.
• Secure a new future that will produce quality competitions with the beneficiaries being
the participants and the clubs. We endeavour to do this across all streams of the game without
bias, from seniors to juniors, men’s and women’s competitions.
• Seek to ensure the sport is not an elitist sport for the financially secure families only.
• Seek to engage an urgent enquiry into the process of introducing the National Premier
Leagues.

Football admins join to ReformFFV
By Donald Sutherland

Football administrators from Victoria have banded together in response to recent controversies within the game in an effort to influence the state governing body by running for the upcoming member elections.
ReformFFV was launched on Monday, with several of the group’s members having associations with Victorian Premier League clubs.
“The ReformFFV platform is a simple one,” a statement on the organisation’s website said.
“To reform and reunite the football family of Victoria with the Federation. We strive to achieve this through honest, fair and amicable discussions from Board to Management level so that we are all striving for the same goals.
Outlined within the candidate statement of the group, ReformFFV also said it will look to launch an “urgent inquiry” into next year’s National Premier League Victoria launch, and aim to review and reduce the fees of junior football.
Voting closes at 5pm Tuesday 30th July 2013, with the declaration of voting outcomes to be made on Wednesday 31st July 2013.

Just so as to compare.
How many of the people on your committees and boards are football people and how many have never kicked a football?

In South's case, I've no idea what level any of them played at, but I do know they are all lifelong supporters of the club, and all give their time for free.

Does not matter at what level but have they ever played?

I'm fairly sure that the majority of the guys at South played regularly until life got in the way.

On our committees often no one has played, at the moment 20% have laced up a pair of boots 80% never went near a field. Some still think they can dictate who plays in what team:oops:

I've never played football, just because someone hasn't played they are a bad choice.

The thing about football - the important thing about football - is its not just about football.

Actually popped in to say - bloody well done. Better option than forming a rebel system and seeking to have it ratified.

No but they should not make up the majority of a committee and they should never have a say in who takes to the field.

Even someone who has played football who is on a committee shouldn't be making that choice, coach lives and dies by their team.
