Rumour has now been quelled, with recent FFT article with Carle quoted as denying the move?

I thought to play Paartalu's role in Rado's system you needed to be able to:
1) tackle
2) head
Sounds like Carle isn't exactly the best suit for the position. Also sounds like McFlynn has been frozen out, which is interesting.
Take solace that it's only relatively early stage pre-season? Also, SFC surely have alternate options for that possie they can/will try like Emerton, Grant or what not? I suppose it depends on the wider shape of the team though, how they shape up, especially midfield. I hear Emmo is playing central these days, so he's partnering/infront of Carle in the line.
I presumed Carle would be functioning like a 'deeper-lying playmaker' or link man between defence and midfield/attack? Culina fulfilled that role for a lil while before he departed. I know Farina has refined the approach/style, but again, Carle's talents... while he's unlikely to be in a possie in SFC's front half for reasons I suggest, I very much doubt he'd be soo deep to be regularly dropping into defence either? Carle/SFC might get killed on the counter?
Unless again, that IS the formation, the demands of the roles and that's all where Carle can fit, other positions have their unique demands suited to others (Like Emmo's pace/attacking play may be preferred/valued in that more advanced role, for instance?), and that's it?
Ah, so it's something like this?
----->WB/Warren....Yau
CB.......Abbas
.<--Carle......ADP.Gameiro
CB.......Emerton
----->WB/Bojic....Chianese
IF I have that right, I guess you could have Carle a bit more advanced, where say, I have Abbas/that possie? But it may also mean the link up between defence and midfield becomes a problem again?
