I don't quite think its the same. I'm in NSW so don't quote me on this, FFV is the 2nd largest participation zone, 2nd to NSW. hence greater staff numbers required to service those numbers.
2nd, i'm of the notion that FFV administers all the local comps, as opposed to a place like NSW where all the local comps are administered by their associations. To put that into perspective, adding the association staff to FNSW staff, the numbers would be in the 100's, so to have 70 is probably right on par.
It also needs to be looked at as to what role each federation plays. I understand FFV run the Victory W-League team, obviously quite a few staff there. This is something no other Federation does? Administration of NTC's and elite coaching, etc.
I don't really think FFV's staff numbers would be that out of balance to what they are actually administering.
In terms of Funding they receive, im pretty sure the FFA give them funding to run the NTC's, and Victory W-League, as well as other community initiatives. The FFA is probably funded by the government to do this.
It's the FFV's job to run the various competitions, and run the community programs, the state cup, the NTC, etc. Your saying they should purely service the clubs?
Who is then meant to pick up the pieces on the other fronts?
