3-0 game over!!! We are top of our group winning all our matches. Next match isn't until the 31 of August. AT the moment we will be facing Indonesia but that will almost certainly change.

The schedule says the semi finals are on saturday so hopefully the team can now go on to win the tournament.

How old are our kids? Seems a bit pointless taking a squad full of the oldest kids capable of thumping nearly every other team.

This tournament is preparation for the 2014 AFC under 16 qualification tournament being held in September. The 2014 AFC under 16 championships is the qualifier for the 2015 under 17 World Cup. Australia failed to qualify for the 2013 under 17 World Cup.

Which is disgraceful in its on right. Post 2006 we have only qualified once out of four opportunities. Goes to show how weak our youth grades are right now. I blame lack of funding but that's another issue.

Why are you talking about 'the oldest squad'. It's U16 they're all young and have restrictions.

I wouldn't as coach. I don't think he would up to playing in an U16 tournament. I would keep an eye on him until next tournament.

You select a 13 year old given the physical difference between 13 year and 16 old is quite large and also he would be too young also, i remember watching the the last batch of under 17s and they had a a lot of 15 and 14 year olds and physically they got ambushed especially against Iran where they lost 5-1.

I wouldn't know this group of joeys well enough but i suspect they got it better this time around, given they can compete physically a lot better as well having the technical capacity to do so, you would think.
