This sounds suspiciously like roar, he would be very cheap and he would be a back up to miller imo... but really I am worried that Mulvey has no idea about forign players, where's our scouting team? ](*,)

Interesting. Can't see why the Roar and Wellington would need him...couldn't they just get a cheaper Aussie option rather than using a visa spot on a guy that'd be considered as "cover"?

True but having a fit Fred coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go he could do some damage, I'd definitely take him if he's asking 150k or so, he would put genuine pressure on Miller,Broich to perform which would be great. Absolutely, but if we have a free spot and a little cap space, then I would be quite happy to sign him, especially with the extra player on the sub bench, he could be a handy player late in the game.

Well I've been following the Roar Fan Forum updates on twitter and someone asked if we were going to sign any more players. This was his response:

A: (MM) Have to replace George Lambadaridis while we look after his rehab (injury replacement). Salary cap is the issue. #RoarFanForum
Take from that what you will but I think Fred may be out of reach if the salary cap is an issue.
