Clearly the drop hasnt affected our crowds THAT MUCH. :) I could tell we had many people there on soccer saturday. its good that west Brom defeated boro. Firstly because its boro, secondly it leads to more of a gap between the front two and the promotion spots. Ill take runner up any day of the week. just so long as we get promoted Automatically. Leeds found out the hardway of making the promotion spots twice in two years only to be knocked back twice in the finals.

Think you can credit the good early results for that attendance remaining so high as well. Easy to go to games when you're confident you're going to win. Not sure it would have been the case if you had 2 wins 2 draws and 3 defeats, if you know what I mean.

Boro getting humped at home shouldn't be too much of a shock, central midfield is still piss poor, a team that goes at them will roll them. Speaking as a supporter of a club who've finished 3rd in 2 of our last 5 seasons in the CCC (the other three times we won the league!), I can confirm that failing to make the top two is hideous.

Agree playoffs are horrible.

1990 play-off semis were pretty special though. ;)

Torres scores, and I'm off to bed.

You have to credit Torres though. Who else in the EPL could do that. All class. Speed, touch, and the intelligence to find the finish. Beautiful. Look at what Torres did to Vidic.

Yeah I couldn't believe it I had to look at it a few times to believe it. West Brom do look good under Di Matteo. What also helps is they didn't lose a whole host of players from last season so that helps them. Whereas Boro's midfield has gone to shit.

Very true and they have lost a bit in defence as well. It will be interesting to see if Boro can bounce back or implode like they did last season and slip down the table. Southgate will be nervous now. Losing 5-0 at home doesn't do you any favours when you're trying to hold onto your job.

I don't know how Southgate is still manager. They should have got rid of him after last season.

I tend to agree. If there were two managers that needed to go it would have been Phil Brown for that disasterous second half of the season with Hull and Southgate. Shearer was useless for Newcastle and Mowbray must have won the lottery to move from WBA to Celtic. That's another one. Why would you hire someone as manager when the best thing they have done is to come dead last in the EPL!

yeah that was a big mistake by Celtic going for Mowbray and I think that means Rangers will win the SPL this year. He's just got no clue what he's doing Mowbray. He showd last season how poor a manager he is. Yeah sure he got West Brom promoted automatically but its the CCC, all you need is a few decent players and you can romp it.

Big night tonight in the EPL.

I'm tipping a Man Utd win over City.

Think Fulham will get up away.

Lucas Neill's new club will get a win at home over Blackburn

And Chelsea will beat Spurs.
