What exactly as Mike Dean done wrong.

Mike Dean has set himself a precedent which he has not followed in this match so far and I doubt if he will for the second half. Rightly or wrongly, the game has been ruined.

Defensive mistakes all over the place but that's typical really.

Keiran Gibbs at fault for the second goal, no need to dive into a challenge with Zabaletta and leave a huge space in behind. Just stay deep, play direct and hope to nick a goal. I don't think Arsenal are capable of it.

The only question is: how much of this game can we put down to the referee?

I know the referee was probably right but it's hard as a fan because it's just so frustrating. I only admitted that he was probably right myself at half time.

What I mean about the referee though, I mean are we so bad as to fall apart entirely because of a sending off? Or is it understandable in the circumstances?

The way I see it is, if that happened up the other end we'd all be screaming for a red card so it's a bit hard to complain when it goes against us.

A lot of complaining about Kompany being sent off. He left his feet and in my view it was a horrible tackle on Wilshire. You could argue that he got some of the ball but it was studs up off his feet.

As for Konscielny, what the actual fuck? I have never seen a more comical "tackle."

The Kompany tackle actually wasn't that bad, and in all honestly shouldn't have been a red card. That being said though from where the referee was can completely understand why he gave it, from his view it did look like Kompany lunged in 2 footed when he actually didn't.

Watching it live I knew he was in trouble, just unfortunate that the referee has to do what he can with just the one look.

It certainly looked bad live. He showed his studs and left his feet. I guess its a case where you could make an argument either way. I hate Wilshire but I cringed watching him go over after the tackle.

Yeah, like I said watching it live I knew he was in trouble. But the more replays you see the more and more you realise the tackle was actually a very good one. There's one angle from the side that shows he's only got one foot in and that it's actually a well timed tackle. The problem is, like I said, from where Mike Dean was it looked like he went in two footed and looked a lot worse than it was.
