Reports ant-doping authorities were unable to locate Chris Horner for a drug test following his Vuelta win. Horner would have been tested following the last stage of Vuelta on Sunday but apparently was unable to be found at 2 hotels early on the Monday morning. The test believe to be ordered by the USADA was supposed to be carried out by the Spanish authorities. Cyclists are allowed to miss two tests over an 18 month period but face sanctions if they miss a third test. Horner will be given a chance to explain what happened before this is recorded as a no-show. While Horner might not face sanctions over this incident it will do nothing to quieten the suspicions of many, including me, that a 41 year old could perform how he did in the Vuelta cleanly.
