With the requirement being for a Youth C Licence to coach U12 onwards at a NPL club going forward, I was wondering whether the clubs pay the cost of the course ($1,320 in SA according to the FFSA website) or are the coaches paying? Would be interested to know what the various club policies around Australia are. Also interesting read on the situation in grassroots football in England, sound very familiar to what is happening in Australia: http://espnfc.com/columns/story/_/id/1572894/counting-cost-coaching?cc=3436I would of thought we would have to be making courses less costly to grow the coaching pool and hence the coaching talent, especially at youth level. Germany and Spain are obviously taking this approach according to this article.
