Quote:Arsenal to bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak? Arsenal could be set to make a January bid for Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak during the January transfer window, according to reports in England. The talented Australian International defensive midfielder has been the stand-out performer for the Eagles in their bizarre start to the Premier League campaign, having acquired a single win in their opening nine games, and currently lie 19th in the League table. The 29-year-old Australian signed for the Premier League strugglers back in 2011 from Turkish club Gençlerbirliği and became a fans' favourite at Selhurst Park during the 2012–2013 Championship season, as he was given the captain's responsibility in the limelight of Paddy McCarthy's long-term injury during the season by former manager Dougie Freedman. With Jedinak showing off his skills at the highest stage, Arsenal are expected to make a move for the talented Australian star come the January transfer window. http://www.eyefootball.com/news/16422/Arsenal-bid-Crystal-Palace-midfielder-Mile-Jedinak.html Wot m8?

It's certain that Premier League clubs will go for him, doubly so if/when Palace go down.

One of the best passing teams in the world to sign a guy who can't pass?

well arsenal's cb pairing aren't making a lot of tackles or intercepts so they might want a ball winner in the back four...hard to imagine him in the midfield. The question is, is it worth it if it restricts your ability to play out

I can see him as a CB, dosn't have the passing range and creative skill arsenal needs from their midfield. Odd rumor.

Would be great to see another aussie at a massive club but i doubt he would get much game time.
it would be good to see him at a mid table epl team, i.e. newcastle, everton etc

I watched him play this morning against WBA, seriously the guy is phenomenal, he's like a one man band in that team, everyone else is lost, he seems to be both the defense and attack, fuck me no wonder the Gunners are after him

He'd be good cover for Flam
But still - the best passing team in the comp signing someone who struggles at passing seems odd to me, even taking into account how much of a beast he is otherwise.
Wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal got wind of Moyes keen on him, so Arsenal "show interest" to drive his price up

For the Socceroos, less so. Hoping it was just a Holger curse or something, and that Ange is able to harness 'EPL Jedinak' for the national team.

Joffa wrote:That Wenger fella, what would he know, anyways.... Wenger definitely is not after Jedinak. I rate Jedinak for his particular strengths but being an Arsenal follower I see it as virtually a fact that he wouldn't touch Jedi with a 50 foot pole. Arsene is very stubborn about making sure that every single midfielder is dynamic on the ball. Youth prospects a possible exception, but he certainly wouldn't go out and buy a one dimensional destroyer. Especially not a 29 year old when he is a big advocate of the idea that players start to lose their ball winning ability after about 29. Flamini is a great DM but he's also very comfortable on the ball and a more intelligent player.
