How can anyone seriously suggest that this group were not Sydney FC fans?

What a stupid comment. Twice as many supporters there as Fury have ever gotten to their biggest game, and a couple of people who will be heftily dealt with apparently make up the rest of the clubs' opinion? We are a big club, there are dickheads in the club that no-one wants. Who the fuck cares about the media and general publics opinion on this issue when some poor souls are sitting in a hospital bed and their families probably so shaken up they're out of their minds? Madness.

Ahhh the old "can't think of a retort so I will use Fury's crowds as a burn" line

Fury fans never went around stabbing opposition fans either and as for whoc ares what the media/general public think?

Try that thought again when everyone labels your club as being filled with fucking scum that stab other people.

Think of that when everyone hates your club because of massively overhanded police measures that will now be in place Australia wide due to this incident.

Lets hope this is a one off incident. This is the last thing football wants or needs. We dont know if the guy who did the stabbing was a football fan or not, but if he was, he can go f*ck off right now.

Lets hope those Melbourne Vic fans get well soon.

When case goes in court. Its up to lawyers to present any evidences and contradiction that these group are fans or not.
Its not up to us to judge.

If we keep this discussion heated with allegations and speculations, defendant lawyer can use this to end the case because public already judge the accuse before giving a fair trial.

I'm just glad the guy isn't dead. good to hear no life threatening injuries.

Even if the accused is a sydney fc support he doesn't represent all sydney fans, most sydney fans are families with children. he is a fucking idiot and for stabbing someone i hope he gets fucked. such a good night for our club and this dickhead has to nearly ruin it, he is no sydney fc or a league fan because he did this.

Obviously this one is terrible and there's nothing to say except hope the victims are ok and punishment ensues on the perpetrators, but no matter what the occasion you can't have that many people in one place with that much passion for opposing views and not get idiots taking it too far. We have always been very fortunate in the A-league to be able to have pre-match banter at the pub or walking to the grounds with away support, that may well be taken off us soon so I hope everyone enjoys/enjoyed it while they can/could.

Couldn't agree more. The longer this thread stays opens, the more shit it'll stir up between people, bickering between supporters and more hearsay and innuendo being made up, which also gives more ammo for hater journos, and it's not needed. I'm sure the culprit will be dealt with, as he's already been arrested. Our thoughts & prayers are with the victim, sounds like he'll get through this, and that'll be great news to come out of all this. This isn't a news or a crime forum. Please close this thread now.

asanchez your thoughts are noble but the fact of the matter is that this has taken place and must not be swept under the carpet. the mainly sensible people in this country including the majority of football fans have to be made aware of this disgraceful behavior and unfortunately be tarred with the same brush by the non football media in this country

Not trying to make this a club vs club or fans v fans thing, but you Sydney White Eagles fans are legitimately hilarious. Last season if a small minority of WSW fans did something you'd be the first to jump on and go on and on about how it's an RBB problem and blaming the RBB, but as soon as it looks like it's one of your own fans you're all suddenly about not judging the many by the actions of a few

We can, should and do have these occasions without idiots taking it too far. The bolded comment makes it sound like this thing is inevitable or to be expected at big HAL games. I disagree entirely.

Sorry in advance if I've incorrectly interpreted your comment.
