If Berisha leaves it wont be to another club in the a-league, he strikes me as the loyal type

I just cant see berisha in an other a league jersey. the jets should focus on recruiting players who can give heskey decent service.

So What. He goes from being supplied by the most creative midfield in the league, gives up playing with Thomas Broich, Luke Brattan and Matt Mckay, HE GIVES ALL THAT UP, to play with Ruban Zadkovich, Zenon Caravella and Benjamin Kantarovski....

If this rumour is true, that must mean Heskey is gone.

A lot of people hate Berisha but I'd love to see genuine footballing reason for not wanting him in your team.

I have barely watched Petratos - SFC & BR fans, how does he go?

Vandenburg "confirmed" this rumour was true on one of the FB pages he admins this morning. Not sure if him confirming anything means SFA (I can never remember if he actually now has a job with the jets, or he's just a pest enough that he hangs around them enough and gets close enough etc), but he did confirm it.

BTW if any of the Sydney fans are reading this thread who were claiming last week or so that Sydney could offer 600k+ under the cap for Berisha - like I said then, you guys are fools. No one can afford to pay players 400k+ under the cap ffs. Your grip on football (and HAL) economics astounds me, not in a good way.

Berisha is a clinical finisher who performs incredibly well on silver platter service, he will not get that at the Jets.

I haven't seen much of him recently but he at Sydney he was kind of hot and cold like Bridge. He'd have a good game then a lot where he did nothing. A lot of games he'd let himself down by focusing on attempting needless tricks and flicks rather than having his head up focusing on being effective. Get him playing for the team rather than him and he has the potential to be a good player.

The latter, he is just a spoiled rich kid that gets to do whatever he wants (in his case follow the jets everywhere). He probably 'Confirmed' it by checking twitter and seeing the SST post like the rest of us.

I wouldn't be too worried if this happened.As some have pointed out and others fail to realize,the system and players at the Roar contribute significantly to Berisha's goals.Look at this season for example Berisha has one? goal and others across the park have stepped up.
From the number of opportunities created Berisha looks good,but he still has missed just as many.Not to say he isn't a good hard working player.But I sometimes wonder how Roar would be going with a Striker with a lot of pace.
The other rumour about Petratos makes little sense.How many wide players does GVE want?Tagget,Hoole,Goodwin,Brown..etc.More bench players?

Why not just give Taggart an extended run in the middle?

I thought jets could use some mids.....

As long as he puts in the one goal, he can miss 10 for all I care. He still scores more then most in the league.

if this is true I hope Perth Glory go after Taggart to replace Smeltz.

With him being off contract, Smeltz a lock to leave and Sage's cost-minimisation for squad members I'm fairly certain he will be back in Perth next season. The only thing that will throw a spanner in the works is if his wage demands are too high, which I doubt since he hasn't really managed to get enough of a footing to make a case for it.
