What type of pet(s) do you have?
Put your photos, crazy stories, questions, etc about your pets here.
I'll start off with a question - anyone know anyone who has had a pet fox before? The Mrs is becoming slightly obsessed with the idea of getting a pet fox, and was wondering if anyone had dealt with them before.

My Golden Retriever/Poodle Toby. He's about 6 and a half years old now. This was taken around 2 and a half years ago.

My cousin had a pet fox. Tried to domesticate/tame it but it just wouldn't work. In the end he ended up giving it away. I wouldn't recommend it... they're not dogs. It's not going to be all cute and cuddly and want to play with you. If you raise it from birth it might not want to bite you/be afraid of you... but it's still going to be a wild animal.

Bens dog looks so gentleman like.
Iridums are those that you just want to snuggle with.
Its a pity that dogs are forbidden in Islam. I probably would have wanted one dog and one cat. Ive got photos of the cat i used to have on my phone. Will see if i can upload them if you guys want. All depends. I tend to get a bit sad knowing i had to give up my cat.

Bonnie (Dog), and Mia (Not Dog). Not specificaly mine, but my aunties, who I live with. Been looking into my own pet, but something small, seeing as I already basically have a cat and dog. Rat/Snake/Spider/Centipede/Ferret have all been on the list . Most likely going to be a Rat.

We have: 2 Female Labradors (1 Black Lexie & 1 Gold Roxie) 1 Male greyhound Wreck (35kg ex racer Devine Wreck that won us a bit of money) 2 Pythons Monty & Lucius (1 stimson python and 1 south west carpet python) 3 Cats Tigger, Ace & Puma (two are rescues that we came accross, 1 rescue from a cat haven) 1 Rabbit named Stew (supposedly a Dwarf rabbit but the missus got scammed) 4 Hermit crabs (that are really quite boring these days) 1 Weiro bird named Rocky 1 Canary named Hawkeye 2 Budgies named Bumblebee and Bubblegum 1 Pink and grey gallah named Scratch 3 Fish tanks (2 tropical with about 25 fish and 1 fresh water with 2 gold fish) Soon to be 4th tank.
I doubt I will post photos as there are too many pets.

You can get one if its for work, guard dog, guide dog etc. But as a pet, they not allowed. Dogs are considered unclean compared to cats. They lick your face and all that, and they don't cover up their shit, so its a bit of thing. In saying that, it says thought that if you see a dog or any animal in distress or trouble, then take it and look after it. Treat them with care and respect and so on. So even if you go to someone place and they have a dog, don't hit it or anything, still treat it with kindness and respect and etc etc.

My birds don't really have names so I'll call them Big Bird and Little Bird on here. Big Bird Little Bird Little Bird loves Big Bird and will try to play and talk with it for hours. Big Bird hates Little Bird and will try to bite Little Bird. As a result Little Bird isn't allowed to play with Big Bird. Any ball visible in the house becomes the possession of Little Bird. Any box or container visible becomes the possession of Big Bird.

My cousins used to have these two love birds. They were cool at first, didn't use to bother. Then my cousins went overseas and I was staying at their place looking after the birds and so on. Then when they came back the birds changed. They became these pretentious little twats.
Every time I went to the house they would attack me for some reason. I couldn't enter the house without the birds being locked away or something. My cousins acted like nothing was wrong which pissed me off too.
I like bird, but these were idiots. I guess they met some gruesome deaths too.
One was killed by the ceiling fan, other was standing on the top of the door and my cousin didn't know, so she closed the door and the head was in between the top and.....you get the idea.

Birds can be nasty if they don't like you. The alexandrine, big bird, was took years and having many chunks of flesh taken out of me to gain its trust. Now loves getting a scratch.
My birds seem to take into account shirt colour in whether or not they will trust you. They like yellow and orange and don't like red and black.

Most Muslims I know (that I have been able to contact quickly) say that dogs aren't prohibited. Rather unclean animals are not allow in areas of pray. Just as an unclean human would not be allowed either. Care to clarify for us uninformed?
