Although I'm not sure about FNSW from how they have gone it would be nice to see some highlights from there sake, but i just read on the FNSW website that the person coaching this mob is the one and only Craig Foster! :D We have a two very could coaches at the helm Boris Serhoristan and Michael McBride. They approach the game to be a possesion based game and a skillfull one. Before departing for Canberra it was said to several times that this was not one of our better groups. Shows how much some know and how dangerous it is to Pidgeon hole kids. Here's the link and seriously is this a gimmick? http://www.footballnsw.com.au/index.php?id=149&tx_ttnews%5Byear%5D=2013&tx_ttnews%5Bmonth%5D=12&tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=8418&cHash=909d18ccc589670770c4d75dcc6707e2It appears Victoria is way out on top and should playoff against the allstars.

Good to see some reporting of the NTC Championships here.
In the local media we are seeing reports of the local NTC team, but FFA have been coy about publishing results, as style of play and development of it is supposedly the biggest issue.

Any one know where to get results? I think this will be the last year, looks to me like the a-league academies will all be up and running next year to replace the state institutes. I thought the NTC's were to continue for those players who werent picked up by the A league academies or were dropped from them to act as both a pathway and a second chance saloon :-k I had herd mention of state teams continuing as you say but nobody said who was paying.

If that is true then it will be interesting in the future Source??? Its part of the FFA plan i believe. As you know the jets are already there in place of NNSWIS Mariners now have an academy and most other a-league sides will follow suit asap. As FFA part fund the institutes these monies will be diverted to the a-league clubs. Interesting times.

Emerging Jets Participate in NTC Challenge December 02, 2013 The 2014 Under 16 Emerging Jets Game Training Squad will participate in the National Training Centre (NTC) Challenge in Canberra, commencing today.
The team contesting the NTC Challenge is a combined squad of Under 15 Emerging Jets and NBN State League Under 15 Boys. The players have been preparing for the tournament under Emerging Jets Game Training Head Coach Wayne O’Sullivan and Assistant Coach Bobby Naumov. Following O’Sullivan’s move to the Central Coast Mariners, Naumov has stepped into the position of Head Coach and will be assisted at the NTC Challenge by Head Coach Skill Acquisition Ryan Campbell and State Goalkeeper Coach Andy Lennon. Newcastle Jets Youth Head Coach Clayton Zane will be providing feedback and assistance to coaching staff and players throughout the week. The Under 16 Emerging Jets squad will be competing against the best players from around Australia for consideration to become future AIS and Joeys players.
Naumov said he was pleased with the progress the players have made during the training sessions, despite wet weather which has caused cancellations of planned practice games and he believes his young group of players are looking forward to the obstacles they will face at the NTC Challenge. "We are not going to look to change O’Sullivan’s training, rather we will look to improve on these aspects during the games the squad will play this week,” said Naumov. “With eight games across five days, it is important we pay special attention to pre and post-game preparations, especially the recovery sessions as the NTC tournament is a great learning experience for players who may be selected in future International tournaments,” Naumov concluded. Northern NSW Football Technical Director David Smith said that the NTC Challenge is the pinnacle tournament for youth football in Australia. “If players perform well at this level, opportunities arise for future Joeys and AIS positions,” said Smith. “Players and coaches are given the chance to showcase their ability in front of FFA Technical staff, AIS coaches and potentially National Youth League and Hyundai A-League coaches,” Smith concluded. The Under 16 Emerging Jets will compete within two competition tables simultaneously. The first is based on this team which ends the week on top based on results of head to head fixtures, while the second is based on FFA Technical Staff assessments of playing styles in relation to the National Curriculum. Day 1 State Institute Challenge: FFV NTC 2-0 QAS The Victorian Boys NTC started the tournament well with a confident 2-0 win over QAS. The goals coming from Andrija Kecojevic and Marcus Dimanche. “The boys started the game quite nervously, which is to be expected, given the pressure cooker environment here at the Institute Challenge” commented Head coach Boris Seroshtan. “However as the game settled, we gained the momentum and our confidence grew”. The VIC boys sustained an injury to key midfielder Dion Paola midway through the first half, which unsettled their rhythm, however substitute Sebastian Pasquali who replaced Paola fitted in admirably. The game changed on the stroke of half-time as a QAS had a player sent off, which meant there was a different problem for the Vic boys to solve in the 2nd half. “The QAS boys set up quite a compact defensive block, however fortunately we were able to unlock the block and complete the victory,” reflected Seroshtan. The next game for the Vic boys will be against a very impressive NSWIS. “We observed the NSWIS match this morning, they certainly are a very talented group so this will be a difficult match for our boys, hopefully we will be competitive and make it a tight contest.” https://www.facebook.com/ffvtalentedplayer
