Current known candidates are Chris Coyne, Kenny Lowe, Gianfranco Zola, Mark Rudan, Ante Milicic, Gary Phillips and Damian Mori. Mich d'Avray has been spoken of but I don't think there is any interest from him.

The latest to be rumoured is.....Marco Tardelli

Announcement to be expected tomorrow.

announcment today for interim coach, long term coach to be decided down the track.

rumours of Zola, he was strongly linked to the club a couple of years back, before taking the Watford job. Now we have Gallas, the two also played together for a couple of years at Chelsea. Gallas could help being him over.

He would be fantastic.

I think interim coach will most likely be Kenny Lowe, with Mori leading the pack of the rest

Zola would be great, probably now more than other recent years... we are lacking a real marquee coach.

Zola would be a mistake. He has yet to demonstrate any skill in a coaching role. I want a coach who wants success first and then to develop players. I want a coach who can take some youngsters, get the very best out of them and drive them towards title success repeatedly. I want a coach who will not hesitate to sack a player who yarps on in the dressing room, questioning his authority.

But what I really want for Christmas, is a club that actually manages to hire a coach and hold onto them for longer than 1 season. It's not too much to ask for is it?
