Apparently Cerezo Osaka has come knocking. Very surprised by this...barely half a season with MV and there is interest?

lol you're kidding right?

Melbourne Victory discovered Mitch Nichols... and Ange Postecoglou and Robbie Kruse and Marco Rojas and Mark Milligan and Adama Traore and Archie Thomson and Kosta Barbarouses and Kevin Muscat.....

They've had years to see him play for the Roar as well as National Youth teams. The real surprise is that they aren't making a play for Carusca over him.

Firstly, I wasn't bragging like some other MV supporters can. "Yeah, of course he gets noticed at MV, fap, fap, fap".

I was more alluding to the fact that, over the long run, Mitch has been an extremely inconsistent player. Has made a good run while at MV, but why is there real interest in him now? Do they think that he is all of a sudden consistent?

Not talking him down, has been great at MV. But, I would've expected interest in him coming next season (after a season where he performs consistently as the lead-in).

And, Japan has always been able to produce similar playmaking mids in the Nichols mold over time...hell, I'd say they have plenty of players similar to Nichols over there.

He will crash and burn in Japan as a lead play-maker, wont cut the mustard. But good luck to him.

Also I'm pretty sure it was Vegalta not Cerezo. Vegalta released some of their foreign players to bring in a couple of new ones.

It could take his game to the next level or it could hit a brick wall and be back in the a league with 18 months.

Good luck to him anyway

Nothing wrong with J-League but Mitch continues to improve and I think he could play Championship. You can make a lot of money in the English Championship.
