WTF Is this guy doing out on-loan down to League Two. The 31 year old, highly experienced second and third tier defender, long time Aussie Abroad and former Olyroo and Young Socceroo - he really SHOULD be returning home to help lead the line at CB with an A-League club. The A-League is always in need of experienced CBs to guide inexperienced defences and hence the reason why most teams have utilised a VISA place on that very type of player! Seip at Mariners, Wierlaart at Heart, Jaliens at Jets, Contreas at Victory, Petkovic at SFC... Some of these sides would NOT need to utilise a VISA spot on experienced CBs IF the likes of this player were returning home.

And with the amount of CBs being poached by Asian club sides via the +1 rule, he and his agent should surely be aware of 'potential demand' down here?!

Come here before you are 'too old, slow and injury prone' son! Look at the likes of Kisnorbo and others. Chris Coyne left it a little late too and finished stricken with fitness concerns/doubts!

He should be returning NOW, really. But irony is the demand may be lower, with all the VISA CBs here!

Heck, the Sydney boy, he'd be a reasonable fit at SFC or Mariners - shouln't be too expensive either and a shorter length contract!

Not good enough for League 1, dont want him taking a young bloke's gig away at A-League level. Maybe he can put in a word at Albion though and get Luca$h a gig?

Shane Clearly loves living in the UK, and like many Aussies who spend a period of time overseas, wants to stay overseas.

I suspect we won't see Shane in Australia for a long time. He'd be attached to a pommy lass you'd think which makes it all the clearer for him to stay there.

All of this - the life of a footballer is about so much more than just the league they are playing in.
