While that's certainly true, the $3.12 admin cost for the Newy tickets is much less than what I'm used to.

Brisbane Strikers or Devonport Strikers?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Why do both clubs have the exact same logo? Are they co-owned or something?

You'll probably find that they'll set the camera up on the hill in order to capture a full grandstand, much like they did at Leichhardt Oval for the Balmain v Melbourne game.

So what? Stand next ot the cameras then. Are the Cove actually going to fuss that they aren't shown on TV?

I'd have thought any active group would go very much out of there way to take an open standing area. I'm sure NT would have stormed into the G.A Terrace at Kardinia Park years ago if VicPol didn't block it off to the public each time. ](*,)

Pumped for the Mariners vs Green Gully, do you think Green Gully will sell the tickets online? Thinking of buying a few and giving them out at my school.

Just had a quick look at Green Gully's website and there appears to be nothing on there, at least at the moment. Likewise with their facebook page.

I didn't see anything on ticketmaster earlier, nor ticketek. You might want to email the club and ask if they're selling them online. Otherwise, just gather up a few friends and head down on matchday. If you live locally, maybe the social club are selling them, which is entirely possible.

Need a Fox Sports sub though, it's a couple of bucks per month though but can cancel anytime (I just held it solely for the FFA Cup last season).

Patrick Antelmi, Blacktown City on SU58.

Antelmi is being very generous when he says Blacktown were unlucky in the last 2 seasons. They were poor against MetroStars last year.

Yeah, big news out of Hume & Marconi after both sacked their coaches.

Should make the game that little bit more interesting. Potentially both clubs going into the game with a caretaker manager, or being the first competitive hit out for either manager.

I cant remember if I have asked this question before but-

Does the FFA enforce a 5 visa player limit for all clubs in the competition?
Do Darwin Shamrock have more than 5 visa players?

I think all clubs in Australia should have the same rules/limitations. From A-League down to whatever division (at least if they want to participate in the FFA Cup).

I would also like to see A-League NPL teams be allowed to have 5 visa players. It means clubs can test out visa players without having them in their A-League squad and give the younger players the chance to play with better quality. This is a two way street, but I think it may benefit the kids more than taking away positions from kids.

Dunno if it applies for the FFA Cup, but I think NPL clubs have a limit of 3 Visa players, and the count as extra on that player points program.

Shamrock aren't in NPL so I dunno what the NorZone NT rules are.

I dont think the FFA would bother it it until the FFA Cup gets itself an ACL spot.

Whilst keeping rules uniform is a good idea for keeping things tight between NPL and A-League clubs, there would be consequences of such a rule for us down in the shitkicker leagues.

A significant proportion of my club, which has only joined the FFV this season, are English, Scottish and Irish expats. If we went by the A-League Visa laws, we would struggle to put together a matchday 11, let alone a full squad and likely chose not to enter the Cup. The same can be said for the other new clubs that have recently joined the official lower leagues.

As things always have been, foreign born players are significantly represented in the Senior game at grassroots level.

Yeah, pointless having visa rules that far down the senior ladder, the argument of costing spots for developing local talent is obviously moot.

I would argue that if 3 visa players is the rule for NPL, as Heiniken stated, then that rule should carry to A-League and all other teams entering the cup.

I haven't read the FFA Cup rules but perhaps something is stated (as teams have brought in players or wanted to play visa players)?

Why?

Yarra Jets in Victorian State League 5 East have a lot of Somalian immigrants playing, and it's as wonderful a tool of social integration as football has always been in this country. These aren't remotely the level of guys stopping young Australian talent get quality development game time at higher levels, just kicking it with their team.

Why kick them out?
