not for me personally, as we play them every season in the preseason friendship cup. lol

Why do you guys have a friendship with Melbourne knights??? and not another team?

Both Cro clubs?

yep and thats why they are not in the a-league

I couldn't give a fuck about the HAL.

if Sydney united was in division 10 or Hal I would support them no matter what, it's my CLUB.

cant say the same about you if WSW were ever to get relegated. meh, you were probably a closet Sydney FC fan before. yawn

Depending on who qualifies I would like to see at least one of mv, mc, sfc or au go to either Darwin, cairns, Sunshine Coast, Townsville , Alice springs or Coffs Harbour.

Have been away on a little mid-week trip to our nations capital, so am a day or so late in updating recent events. We have 4 more additions to the round of 32 for the 2015 FFA Cup.

Congratulations to Brisbane Strikers, Far North Queensland Heat FC from Queensland's NPL, and South Hobart FC from Tasmania's NPL, who have qualified for the second time for our prestigious nationwide cup competition. Hopefully we see strong performances by all.

Congratulations also, to Queensland Lions, who have qualified for their first ever FFA Cup Ro32 position after they defeated Pine Rivers 5-0 to qualify.

There's just 1 game left for the Queenslanders.

South Melbourne supporters will also be breathing a sigh of relief after a late Melbourne Knights collapse led to SM winning 3-1 after Knights led for most of the second half, and having the majority of chances. Their frustration boiled over and several players were sent from the field following a State of Origin style all-in-brawl which consisted of a lot of shirt pulling, and players getting up in each faces, and calling each other rude names in foreign languages. As a result Paulc choked on his cevapi after he found out it wasn't a Bunnings Warehouse Sunday Morning BBQ sanga', but rather a tasty ethnic piece of Masterchef-ery. With SM due to play Frankston Lions in the final round of qualifying, it's kinda all theirs to lose now. But that's the magic of the cup, 'Innit?

In other Victorian final round Qualifiers, everybody's favourite lower league team from last year - South Springvale - look to qualify for their 2nd FFA Cup with a tough match against Oakleigh Cannons. Hume City also take on Kingston City, whilst Heidelberg take on Goulburn Valley.

In ACT qualifying , last years qualifiers Tuggeranong lost to Belconnen, whilst Cooma (who aren't even in the ACT, but on the NSW South Coast 0 - 100+kms from the ACT!) have been knocked out by Gungahlin United. Gungahlin will play Belconnen for the ACT position.

In South Australia - Adelaide City will face off against Croyden Kings, whilst in WA Perth SC taking on Gwelup Croatia (who play amateur, Sunday-league!) A massive cupset await, and I can also taste the salty tears of Paulc when a team with 'Croatia' gets into the FFA Cup.
In the other match up, Bayswater City take on Sorrento.

Still a couple rounds both for NNSW, and the NT.

But once again - Congratulations to South Hobart from Tasmania, Brisbane Strikers, Queensland Lions, and FNQ Heat FC for making it into the Ro32.

Cant wait for the Foxtel name they give it

"Hollandia derby"
"Orange derby"
"Amish Derby"
"Pride derby"

CONGRATULATIONS TO SOUTH MELBOURNE FC & OAKLEIGH CANNONS FC

Debuting in the FFA Cup for the first time, after qualifying tonight.

South Melbourne defeated Frankston Pines FC 6-1, whilst Oakleigh Cannons had a late scare against last years underdogs South Springvale, prevailing 2-1 in the end.

South Melbourne FC road to the cup.
vs. Whittlsea United (won 5-0)
vs. North Sunshine Eagles (won 8-0)
vs. Melbourne Knights (won 3-1)
vs. Frankston Pine (won 6-1)

Some big scorelines in their qualification route. I daresay they'll be contenders for semi-finalists.

Oakleigh Cannons FC road to the cup
vs. Corio SC (won 12-0)
vs. Richmond SC (0-0; Advance 5-4 on penalties)
vs. Bendigo City (won 5-1)
vs. South Springvale (won 2-1)

Looking forward to seeing who they'll draw in the Ro32. :)

- south first 30 minutes pathetic
- Frankston pines played at a level not far off the bottom teams in npl until the 2nd half capitulation
- South new recruit andy bevin is terrible
- had enough chances to score a dozen, helps when pines run out of gas and just can't run anymore
- conceeded off a corner, we can't defend set pieces at all, major problem

Life after andy Brennan will be tough imo, need to improve a lot to make an impact in the FFA cup, believe we had a better side last year overall.

Sure but SU58 are probably the only Cro's who will make it this year. I'm also fairly sure there isn't much that separates the two in his mind.

Kind of disappionted still the FFA didnt go for a Stanley Cup style trophy (with an actual cup/bowl at the top). Would be great to see players drinking from the cup after the final.

There has been no better trophy design, than that of the trophy you win at the end of each level of Mario Kart 64 races.

Simple, yet stylish, and by god it feels good when you win it.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SOUTH MELBOURNE FC & OAKLEIGH CANNONS FC

Debuting in the FFA Cup for the first time, after qualifying tonight.

South Melbourne defeated Frankston Pines FC 6-1, whilst Oakleigh Cannons had a late scare against last years underdogs South Springvale, prevailing 2-1 in the end.

South Melbourne FC road to the cup.
vs. Whittlsea United (won 5-0)
vs. North Sunshine Eagles (won 8-0)
vs. Melbourne Knights (won 3-1)
vs. Frankston Pine (won 6-1)

Some big scorelines in their qualification route. I daresay they'll be contenders for semi-finalists.

Oakleigh Cannons FC road to the cup
vs. Corio SC (won 12-0)
vs. Richmond SC (0-0; Advance 5-4 on penalties)
vs. Bendigo City (won 5-1)
vs. South Springvale (won 2-1)

Looking forward to seeing who they'll draw in the Ro32. :)

I love these. Please continue to do these summaries.

Will do as teams continue to qualify.

Once everybody's qualified, I'll compile them all together. Might put it in the OP, but that might make it too large with the OP being reserved for scores, stats & trivia for the cup.

Make it large with stats. Its worth it.
