Was hoping for Sydney FC to come to the gold coast.... Damn!
WSW better watch out, Palm beach is in a far better financial state than the Roar are, predicting a cupset.

You would hope they play it at Bicentenial park, however LUX maybe an issue and Kogarah is a 2 minute drive away. ST George stadium is a sad place to go, the whole grandstand is condemned and barely passes NPL 2 criteria.

St George Stadium is in a sad state of affairs unfortunately.

That's too bad about St George, the football community had better get onto that one before Sydney property developers do.

St George Stadium is in a sad state of affairs unfortunately. I'd love it to be held at Illinen. However I think it'll be pushed to WIN. I wouldn't be surprised if Rockdale got a similar crowd to what Balmain got. 4-5 thousand would be my guess. I'm not sure if IIinden would be able to support that logistically. Can see the game being played at WIN Jubilee and the hill closed off, like Leichhardt Oval was for the Balmain game, and the camera's set up so it faces a full grandstand. However, if Illinden meets LUX standings, I'm all for the game being held there. I'm keen to try out their cevapi facilities at the very least. :) St George FC don't even play their games at St George Stadium any more. They play their home games at WIN Jubilee because St George Stadium is in such a state of disrepair. I'm not even sure who owns the ground nowadays, is it the council? I believeSydney FC were looking at the land when we were looking for places to build our academy. The hope was we'd succeed, and do a knock-down, rebuild of the stadium. That would have been awesome had we built a 25-30,000 all-seater boutique stadium. Would have been awesome. I suppose it might still be on the cards, but I doubt it since we decided we'd keep the academy at Macquarie University. That's a photo from 2008 I don't think it's changed much since then. Pala, will you be m80ing it up for that again?
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Immediately after the FFA Cup Newy/Perth game, 5 Jerks fans (inc me) + 1 certain Perth fan went back to SJ's to record a Jerkstream Podcast review of the game. A bit of talk at the end about the Jerks in general, but most of the pod solely focused on the game: http://www.newcastlefootball.net/home/podcast/the-jetstream-podcast-ep31-the-stubbins-less-edition/Edited by pv4: 13/8/2015 08:43:57 AM
