+1 here here.....
I can understand public liabilty etc getting out of hand in this modern age then I feel for the poor local clubs who one have to deal with lame councils etc but whats the root cause ?
FFA ? in my case FNSW ? both ?

PAnnerleys scenario is outright rip off unless they are playing on table tops, good training facilites, addidas training kits balls etcetc.....
Yep cost of living is rising as is everything else so is that it, or pack your kit bag go home tell your kids for some I imagine I can't afford it.

PAnnerly PL I understand.......but local comps asking near on $500 for U12's is OTT x twice imo.

This is why there is much resistance here in Sydney - a recent article of parent groups around the eastern suburbs of sydney starting up another jnr comp due to the high fees of today for football.
Mind you I find it ironic that of all places its that area but I imagine most are living the champayne lifestyle on a beer budget ;)
Its just thats its a shame that our Football had been gaining so much ground finally that costs are now testing parents hip pockets far more than the other codes.

neverwozza, yer it keeps adding up but if its in the blood we can't help ourselves can we.
I recall 3-4yrs ago me and 2 boys starting hitting the $1k mark then as we know + boots etcetc.
Now $2k for me and U14 in nswpl.
Eldest now pays his way :d

That's just for a Division 1 team. Her brother plays in a NPL team U15 - the registration fees there are around $1700 for this year.

scotty21 not sure what the comparison is here in sydney, I see Super League for my club is $350.

yes agree re the other codes - always been this way due to having a "club" structure revenue helps doesn't it.
ARU etc supply shorts socks etcetc kits have always been supplied as well and here we are for all the years I have played and having late teenage kids still the same as then BUT costs us even more go figure !

That's were aussie rules clubs have the upper hand over football. Their players (parents) pay no where near the money our clubs are charging to play this simple game.

It sure is expensive that $410, glad I'm not playing that association.
I've just checked my club website - showing 2013 fees still - AA - O35's on $310, that I can take but haven't gone through the FFA website yet for 2014 to pay may cost more but I doubt a hike to $410.

That's way more than I had to pay. My club charges $260 to play in the 21's and above, in other words if you are older than 18. Most clubs around the Sutherland shire charge somewhere between $250 and $300 for AA players.

I was just starting to get regos going for 2 sons.
13yr old is playing Youth Academy I have no problem here as thats an extra we are happy to pay + club rego which is $245 for the season.
AA and above now is $410 - my eldest pays his way now but wow I thought that is really starting to look high.

Just interested on anybodies thoughts - also what do you pay in your local area - the above is for the ol KDSA now NSFA, I cannot get on my club webpage as yet playing in the GHFA that I assume would be $410 as well.
