The new way of coaching in Australia is the defence starts from the front. If your coach is doing his/her job properly, it is often a fault from lack of defensive pressure from a more attacking player to create 1v1s against defenders. The other new phenomenon which is good from a CB perspective, is that a lot more play in Ball Possession is directed through CBs by playing out from the back . After 20 mins I was breathing out my arse and never blamed the midfield again. Lol, yeah. I played one game as CM; never again.

I've played everywhere and copped the same amount of criticism everywhere. Four backs get beaten by two forwards but its the midfield's fault for not marking up or dropping quick enough. Its the fullbacks fault that he couldn't handle three players at once, even though he's been screaming for players to come across and help him for the last 10 minutes. The forwards are being lazy because their not getting anywhere near the through balls your playing to the opposite side of the field to where they are making a run.

I know for a fact that all CB's are better strikers than any strikers going around. If we weren't needed so much down the back we would be banging them in left, right and centre unlike those pampered namby boys up front.

Also a futsal keeper at a competitive level. However, in a weird way, I love an incompetent defence. It means I can show off my skills...

Not really in the right place, but imo goalkeepers have it much worse. If you know nothing about football every goal is their fault.
