Someone said he's asking for marquee wages… and everyone is like errr no. Also why would we? we're look at 5 overseas players, that mulvey is going to head over to take a look at the end of the season.

Just because they play overseas doesn't mean they're better. Huysegems is a safe bet for this league and wouldn't take up any more space than Berisha did, you know it makes sense.

it doesn't but. I don't want a safe option. Our club is very successful at finding quality European players, lets put that scouting to the test. Huysegems is no better then Berisha, we need to look for a player who is better or at least on par.

As for the second part, Berisha is one of the best to ever grace the league, I think if you can fill a Berisha sized hole with another Berisha you will be just fine.

Wrong. Look at all of his howlers this season and last, he may have scored 10 goals but he's missed a hell of a lot more.

Huysegems isn't a bad striker, but he does have his off-days semi-regularly. I think he'd do alright at Brisbane.

Yeah he's okay, but if we win the final, I believe we're the most successful A-league club? So we need to do better than just alright. Though from my (little) understanding of our wage budget, we don't really have a lot to give.

Surely Berisha is freeing up you would think at least 250k. Maybe a European player will take that?

Wow, Huysegems is underrated on this forum. Maybe i haven't seen too many of his off days, but every time I've watched him he's looked dangerous and clever and imo is more than just a striker anyway. Put it this way, are his off days any worse than the highly (over?)rated Carrusca? (who had an absolute shocker last night btw). He's missed some sitters, but let's be honest, so does every other striker in this league.

Maybe marquee status is asking a bit much, but he'd be a decent signing under the cap for any club.
