Also, for the record, this tally was from September 26 2013:
Adelaide - 4,335 Brisbane - 5,000 Central Coast - 4,835 Heart - 5,212 Newcastle - 8,000 Perth - 4,394 Sydney - 9,103 Victory - 19,028 Wellington - 3,000 West Sydney - 15,600 SOLD OUT!
Total memberships sold - 78,507
This shows that we are essentially 1 month ahead of last seasons total. Huge.

Schultzy wrote:The discussion on membership sales was discussed on WATR forum and one poster made a very good point. At most clubs (definately AUFC) what is the incentive of signing up at this moment? Early bird prices have passed. Existing member renewals have passed. And we have 1.5 months before the season. with a recent dip in advertising added there is no reason why someone should bother getting memberships now rather than in a months time. There will without a doubt be a surge in the 2-3 weeks between the rd of 16 finishing at the start of season. I know quite a few people in that boat. Every intention of getting a membership by the start of the season but in no rush at all. If all you want is a General Admission membership ie. 3/4 of the stadium there is no rush whatsoever after the earlybird stage I can't see how we will end up with less numbers than last season. It's just such a shame that the long off season kills off the feel good momentum we had going by the end of last year. I think that's why our renewal period/early bird was the best ever. Some positive press around the time of the Rd of 16 (plus a win at home against reigning premiers) leading into the start of the season would be obviously ideal.

I wonder about this too - also, not only do we lack info from Phoenix's official channels, we also lack feedback from Phoenix/NZ fans generally, on these forums - well more recent times anyway, or this thread atleast. So perhaps Phoenix fans can fill us in a little - what's happening over there, the membership drives, initiatives, fan days, local advertising and initiatives by Phoenix or what not? What's Yellow Fever's perspectives on how Phoenix are going etc..? :-k

Really, only MV and WSW supporters have to get memberships early to guarantee good seats. Others can take their time. I'm still expecting a big jump come Round 1

If we could get an update from Sydney FC, and maybe one or two such as Adelaide or Brisbane, maybe just maybe we could crack 80k mark by Sunday.
Also im genuinely hoping that the majority of members above are full season ticket holders. Otherwise our prediction of a bumper year in attendances may be very misguided.

I don't see the problem with their social media responses? They are usually pretty good at acknowledging questions. Getting an actual answer to a question is the issue. :d

I think we'll be around the 95k mark by week 1. I think Sydney fc have 2k tops. Brisbane should get to 12k and victory another 3-4k
