Interesting numbers for MV. One would usually have expected more by now, and with no real major announcements to come for them, it may be interesting to see how it goes this year.

a lot of Victory fans seem to be boycotting memberships due to how crappy the club treats the fans so that could be a reason why its lower than you expect

I just don't understand why clubs hide it.
Doesn't seem to be many downsides with doing it.

I think I got mine not too long after the grand final. The Roar themselves have been running it this time instead of Ticketek and they have allowed for payment over a number of months which I imagine has made it more accessible to those with less disposable income

So roar are a bigger club than victory. Where are you Paulc?
They got another 5k members from this point on last season so hopefully they can get about 13k this season.

Fantastic definitely surprised me. They've been on sale since the Grand Final I believe which is what all clubs should be doing. And it's absolutely marvellous to deal directly with the club to purchase our membership on a great site without giving a cent to those thieves ticketek.

The 8,064 tally only includes full season members with Global (one game), Lite (three game), Lil Roary (infant) and Westfield W-League memberships yet to be opened for purchase. =d> Holy shit, should crack 10k this year.

With city and sydney still to sign marquees and the season only getting closer and closer, plus acl and FFA cup.... They could do some serious climbing yet as all the excitement builds. Does anyone know what their memberships were last year? and what the hell is happening with lampard.... saw a yahoo7 article today and the Mike mulvey interview both talking like it's already done.... But there has been no confirmation of anything....

Here's the article BTW. Quote:Roar on track for member record Brisbane Roar Football Club is on track for their biggest ever membership base with the club close to exceeding last season’s numbers three months out from the start of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 campaign.
Following the closure of same seat guarantees for renewing members on Monday, Brisbane Roar already has 8,064 members – just 48 short of last season’s total membership base of 8,112.
Managing Director Sean Dobson said the commitment of the Brisbane Roar members was impressive, with the big numbers due to both the continual on-field success of the team as well as the new club-built membership platform.
“This season we decided to build our own membership system, which shows that we are serious in investing in the future of the club with our members at the forefront of our minds,” Dobson said.
“It’s important for us to reward those who support us and the new membership platform allows for an easier, more user-friendly system than what we’ve had previously.
“This club has shown we have the ability to succeed on the field and initiatives such as this ensure we can support the club off the field in the best possible way.”
The 8,064 tally only includes full season members with Global (one game), Lite (three game), Lil Roary (infant) and Westfield W-League memberships yet to be opened for purchase.
Head Coach Mike Mulvey was amazed at the effort shown by the club’s most loyal supporters and urged those yet to commit to the three-time Hyundai A-League Champions to visit roarmemberships.com.au
“It’s fantastic to hear how big the numbers are with still three months to go until the season starts,” Mulvey said.
“There were 52,000 people at the Grand Final and we’d love to see more of our fans pledge their commitment to the club by becoming members.
“The squad is preparing well and training hard for the season ahead and we’re doing this for our fans.”
Brisbane Roar is also working on plans on how to comply with Football Federation Australia’s new active support rules and minimise the effect this has on match day attendance in the area.http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/brisbaneroar/news-display/Roar-on-track-for-member-record/91206

3 months compared to 3 days, and 2/3rds of our members have only just received their renewal packs. Not even Paulc would claim this one imo. Edited by jlm8695: 16/7/2014 06:41:57 PM

4K? wtf is Sydney fc doing? anyway...I remember trying to get my first roar membership 2 years ago was absolutely ridiculous, it took forever and it was a bitch to fill out ect ect hardly any communication. it makes you feel like your not very important and if I wasn't such a fan I would of given up. Did it this season was laughing at how easy it was! select actual seats, pick payment option and your done. It shows you what a massive difference simplifying memberships can do for your growth. Well done Brisbane Roar.
Also mvfc fans, what is a 'renewal pack'?

Jerks are selling Pet Memberships. Basically $25 for a lead and collar tag, plus a members card.
I'll find out off the club if said pet memberships are included in our membership total
