Not gonna make 10k

There is apparently a heap of GA season ticket members who are yet to renew their membership, solely because we don't see a home game until Round 5 and they're just lazy. I can easy see another 1-2k people start to sort their memberships between now and then.

It was a completely different feeling at the ground. I know alot of people who are not members who went who loved it.

You would be correct but unfortunately the game was a stinker for 70mins. 20 mins of decent play is not going to get you thousands of new members.

I'd like to think that the success of the Adelaide Oval fixture might have scored us an extra couple of thousand members.

Adelaide were 11,225 average last year, this year the way you are playing you will pass that. Coopers stadium is so good, i really hope it does get upgraded, Dad played there when once when he played for Rostrevor.

With tonights crowd included I doubt our average will be below 12k this year, pretty sure we were at 11.5k last year?

Hindmarsh is a tricky little location in terms of developing. The east stand is very close to manton st at NE corner making expansion of north and east very difficult, the Church behind the southern stand is also heritage listed. I have heard rumours that the AEC are doing some contingency on the viability and possibility of an upgrade to 25,000 with the previously touted roof.

If the ground was every upgraded to this kind of level, and most importantly with improved facilities and shelter, then I think our crowds would improve considerably. It would certainly give people a lot less reasons not to go.
