The team this morning of Aloisi and Zelic on SBS has been fantastic. Very glad that SBS did eventually decide to use Ned for this.

Everybody but Zeljko.

Oh yes. First two days of the world cup waking up to that bloke was hideous. Always have time for zelic.

Bolton can't handle the early start times, and his opinion is meh too.

Also, I hate how after the game, they go "and the results was X, here is a highlight of the goal..and we have to GO! Bye!"

WTF? No analysis at all post game. Its annoying.

Bolton needs to get off that kush.

Can't stand Fozz's 'commentary' of the Oz game. Was horrible, if you can't be impartial don't commentate.

Have loved hearing Martin Tyler and Gary Bloom commentate.

The Zdrilla lead team I can do without, but I main get up just before kick-off and don't pay much attention to their comments in any event.

Hopefully SBS make a play to bring back Orsatti or Simon Hill now Les is leaving.

But...he has THE inGREEEdients, and AT the end of the DAYYYY..........you NEED.............. the inGREEEdients for a GOOD quality....show.

Given up on SBS, using the Hola app on chrome to watch ITV's coverage with good commentators and Martin O'Neil and Patrick Viera doing analysis. Will have to find something to do the same for the BBC because it shat on what sbs are offering online or on tele.

Kalac, Culina, Zdrillic, Aloisi clearly haven't a fucking clue. Ceaseless piss and babble.

Dunno why, but I love it. Cracks me up every time.

For me, he's one of the best pundits SBS have.

My kid was watching a game with me the other day when Martin Tyler came on. Tyler starts talking and my son yells "OMG, IS THAT REALLY MARTIN TYLER?" I said, "Umm yes, how have you heard of him?"

Apparently Tyler is the commentator voice on FIFA... But my son didn't realise he was a real person.

Back on topic, here's my personal opinion:

Meh: Genc, Zdrilla

Cringe: Spider, Les (repsect, but sorry)

Palatable: Zelic, Culina, Foz (I don't care if he's not impartial, his technical insights are very much needed - who else is gonna do it?)

I miss you: Simon Hill, Andrew Orsati

One for the future: Archie (seems natural in front of camera and has a more light-hearted character)

It's interesting to see people's opinions of the SBS team compared to the Fox team. Personally I find the Fox coverage is very much lacking in technical insight, so often I hear from Bozza and Slater "the other team wanted it more". I'm sorry for the dollars they get paid (some directly from my subscription) I expect better than that. Rudan is doing a decent job though.

Most of the SBS team do a slightly better job of it (Zeljko being a very big exception). I can't believe I'm saying this but I think David Basheer has been quite tolerable as a commentator this world cup. A season worth of A-league games has obviously done him some good! Still not at the same level as Simon Hill of course :)

The worst part of the commentary carry on was Foster fapping like a 14 year old with a stick mag over Timmy's goal. For the next 50 years when we see that strike on telly there'll be Foster in the background soiling himself over it. TIMMMMMMYYYYY.......

I love his passion but that was way over the top. Strayed into stalking territory if you ask me.

Agee with you, he is the only one I haven't liked. He has few useful insights out on the pitch for the person regarded in the Oz football milieu as the best goalkeeper coach in Australia.

On topic, I'm a big fan of Aytek Genc. Him and Bolton are a decent tag team.

I've been in Ireland for the whole competition so far, the obviousness of the commentators as they read from Wikipedia (on articles I wrote much of myself) is cringeworthy in the extreme, and the "panel" is just a few old blokes (seriously the youngest would be 65 years old an the "host" looks 142) talking over each other, so unprofessional.

"And the coach... Angee.... Posteckogloo... he coached the Australian under 20's from 2000 to... 2007, so with that experience he'll have something to add..." No mention of changing the fact that the Australian domestic leagues can basically be described as pre-Ange and post-Ange, of course.

Clint Bolton can gtfo my television, and take your pink eye with you.

Why do people care so much? I was riding the same emotions as him. When he cheered I didn't hear him as I was cheering myself. Most countries at the tournament have a similarly excited co-commentator for their own broadcast.
