really so where should they produce get there talent from

liverpool has alot of English players its no suprise they made up alot of the England team

England's record from 1969-1991: Played 252, Won 137, Drawn 70, Lost 45, Win% 54%
England's record from 1992-2014: Played 255, Won 137, Drawn 73, Lost 45, Win% 53%

Oh and I guess the Premier League is to blame for the 2 World Cups and 3 European Championships England missed between the 1966 World Cup and the start of the Premier League?

Fact of the matter is football in England and the way it's run in regards to international football has been completely fucked for ages.

Probably just a coincidence that they've failed to make it past the Quarters since the advent of the EPL then.

I would say that's quite normal for England considering in 14 World Cups they've only made it past the quarter final stage twice.

it will never be found out why England keep failing until they try and find out why.

There ego is to big premier league is the greatest league so out national team is great because of that.

Euro & Qualifiers pre-EPL: 52pl 33W 10D 9L (63% win)
Euro & Qualifiers post-EPL: 63pl 32W 22D 9L (51% win)

World Cup & Qualifiers pre-EPL: 87pl 47W 24D 16L (54% win)
World Cup & Qualifiers Post-EPL: 77pl 47W 19D 11L (61% win)

Total pre-EPL: 139 played, 80 games won at 58%
Total post-EPL: 140 played, 79 games won at 56%

The thing with these figures is that 39 of england's 47 wins came in qualifying for the World Cup, against minnow nations. Compared to 29 of the 47 pre-EPL.

England are based in the south even though they had a preparation camp in Florida they had to overcome their natural disadvantage of coming from cold England. The first match in Manaus killed them off. Their squad was decent but it was a cold weather team full of luxury players.
England could have been a real threat with a squad chosen specifically for Brazil and they were based in the north. In South Africa the poor performances were down to selecting poor line ups that didn;t utilise their strengths. Ironically this squad would have done well in South Africa.

This, England has been shit for decades longer than the premier league has been around. The colossal fuck up that is England's youth and coach development is a lot more relevant.

You are in a position of strength to comment, having pursued coach education in England and elsewhere.

The English FA have made their bed when they put all their eggs into the Premier League basket, now they have to lie in it. You can't rely on a league as your absolute cash cow and then wonder what went wrong when the national team suffers.

It is a concern in one's own country in any sport, if one's club scenario, takes up so much time and energy, they are indifferent to representing one's country.

This used to occur in Australian football, until we became involved in Asian qualifying campaigns.
