With the grossly unjust banning of our beloved brethren PB and Joffa's extermination of the word "Jew", it's clear that our current crop of mods are not up to snuff and sweeping change is needed.

This thread is for nominating new mods (and why), and/or nominating yourself for the role and promising what you would bring to make the forums a better place.

Personally, I would make immediate change to the filter to ensure that every reference to "Tony Abbott" would automatically change to "cunt".

here here. I nominate myself. I will ban the likes of Socawho and paulc and put an end to oppressive gag order on the word cunt.

I like the current mods. The anti-authoritarian mentality around here and around football fans in general is just weak... But if I was to select a few new mods, Pala would be the first. He's on here regularly enough, isn't controversial or abusive. Machine would be another good one. Level headed bloke who has followed football for longer than many on here have been alive. PV4 would be my other. Absolute 11 of a bloke.

Why was PB banned? Was Socawho also banned for his insults that he's slung at multiple users in the past week?

I nominate myself for purely selfless reasons naturally. Under my administration, there will be less constraints on freedom of speech. I will also periodically ban certain posters to keep them fearful, and thus compliant.

I nominate Macktheknife, Notorganic, Roar_Brisbane, and Fredsta. Mack has experience, and all have large post counts. I think all 4 are well respected and reasonably level headed. Jlm could also be a good mod, as much as I used to dislike him. His posts are always detailed and insightful. Palad would be a good mod, but last I heard he doesn't want it.

I would like to maintain current ACTIVE mods, but I think there's a lot of personal abuse that goes unpunished on this forum.

I take away any nominations for TheSelectFew by infinity, and I have not used this post to kiss arse;).
