The impending arrival of an aged relative to reside with us means that I have to radically reduce clutter. This includes disposing of books I have acquired over the years and which she who must be obeyed has deemed I will never read again in whatever is the rapidly reducing number of days I have left to me.
The following books are free to anyone who will pick them up from my place in western Sydney (near Parra) and give them a good home and commit to pass them on free if and when they have finished with them:
Jack Pollard's Book of Soccer Records - ed by Sid Grant (1974) - very poorly edited but there are some real history gems in there. Pele The Autobiography (2006) - "as told to" but nevertheless not too bad Australian Soccer's Long Road to the Top - Mike Cockerill (1998) - a good read Encyclopaedia of Australian Soccer 1922 - 88 - Gino Olivier-Scerri (1988) - this is quite a rarity - it took me a couple of years to find a copy. Again poorly edited but heaps of info The Fleet@Wembley - anon (2008)- the story of Ebbsfleet's FA Trophy win The Rale Rasic Story - Rat Gatt (2006) - love 'im or hate 'im it is a really good read. Our Socceroos - Neil Montagnana-Wallace (2004) - with an author's moniker like that you know it's a great book to own. 26 Socceroo legends - from the 1940s to today - tell their personal stories. Collectively, they paint a picture of Australia's football history and its reflection of our multicultural nation.
These books are pretty much all in good to very good second-hand condition and the price is right, so whether you want to add these books to your collection or you want to start one just send me a private message saying when you can pick them up and why you want them. Also please confirm that you are over 18 or that you will be accompanied by a parent when you do pick them up.
This is not a raffle or lottery and my decision re the recipient will be final and no correspondence will be entered into etc...
