IMO the fact Griff's getting on and isn't as quick as he once was is the reason I would put him at RM. Last season at RM he was able to run a bit less, control the game more, was level-headed enough to hold the ball up for overlapping and forward runners to play to, and had a decent ball to find people making said runs. Compare that to when he was at Sydney, where it was all about him making magic runs for ADP to supply great balls to.

Forgot about Hoole. Tbh I've never seen him do much to earn the praise he's received.

But he's played upfront a lot as well.put him closer to the goal if the Jets can't find a new striker. Plus he's getting on and he isn't as quick as he once was.

Hoole has looked awful in most matches, with the occasional killer ball. He either needs 1-2 killer balls per game leading to goals or to learn how to do other things in football..!

What happened with Hoole anyway? First time I seen him play, thought he was a star of the future but then just didn't look to be the same player later in the season. Heard something about attitude problems..

Flores works best when the play runs through him. Griff works best being Griff. Carney works best whipping in crosses and being allowed space on his left peg.
I just think he has an awkward combination of attacking players. Juric, Flores, Griff and Carney just sounds odd. The fact that Carney has brought in his mate to compete for the same spot makes it all the more confusing. I'm a little worried about the Jets to say the least.

If he isn't good enough to be picked in front of Haliti and Santalab now well then he isn't the answer to Socceroo prayers.

As a Socceroos fan I'd like him at MV or WSW. Good quality football where he will get good service as a frontman. WSW will be good as long as he's picked ahead of Haliti and Santalab regularly enough.

Well their last Marquee frontman was Heskey so this is probably an upgrade for sure.

My guess is we've run across a bit of money from the sale of Brillante & Taggz, as well as freeing up their wages, and Stubbins has decided that he's willing to pay "overs" for someone who he thinks can deliver the on-field performances to warrant said cash. He's had some caps for Australia so you would think he'd qualify as a marquee. The Jerks have probably aimed to utilize the Aust Marquee spot so they can pay him more than WSW do, plus have some more free cap space for the few more visa players Stubbins has said he wants to bring in.

Judging by Golec's FB it seems that Juric has a massive bromance with a few of the WSW boys though, so I'm not sure whether the money on offer would be enough to tempt him away from that environment.

Really, Marquee, the guy has potential and will defiantly improve but with the exception of 1 good goal and showing how to hold a ball up he is still ordinary IMO. Long way to go, but if they think he's worth it, good luck to them.

I would be amazed if this happened. I'm sure poppa would love to get juric starting at least 20 games this year instead of 7 (I think?) from last season. If he's fit to play I can't see him being let go.

He's still got a year on his contract and wouldn't be allowed to talk to other clubs for another 6 months. If WSW want to keep him they'll give him their 2nd marquee slot.
