On this computer ( which I barely use) I am automatically logged in but for the life of me can not remember the password and stupidly used an email account to sign up that I haven't used for years.

So I have gone to create a new account with my current email address but it won't send me a confirmation email to sign up. Have tried it numerous times and each time the same thing. Made sure it wasn't going to the junk and spam etc as well.

Its not a mod issue when bots were signing up and flooding the boards.

I know you were taking the piss, but we can't stop dodgy kents from using bots to spam the shit out of this place. KA made the decision and closed registrations and since then we have had no spam at all.

I tried that, didn't last long.

And so also no growth of the forum that surely would have happened during the World Cup, that's quite a shame.

Closing registrations will ultimately kill the board.

I'm guessing there's no resources or funds to do any real work on this part of the site because even just adding a proper captcha to that registration page would have deterred 90% of the bots.

Time to start a kickstarter? :lol:

How temporary/permanent is this fix? Coming off the worldcup and into the Asian Cup and Inaugural FFA cup, surely registration must be opened for that alone.

And just fix the spambot issue by upgrading the forum software.

It ain't rocket science, hell users on here have even offered to do it for free.
