I met Bowden once, also shook Ruben Zadkovich's hand and said 'well done son' when they flogged Sydney a few years ago
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Bit of a flashback but I've always wondered if I ever played against Holland or Bozanic. I was born the same year and player for Terrigal in the u10/11s. Anyone know which clubs they played for?
My dad once drove Bozza in his taxi while he was staying in Terrigal during his Mariners stint. Really cheerful bloke apparently.

Played U-11s with Scott Galloway and Riley Woodcock and Jacob Collard (Glory Youth POTY for season just gone).
My best mate's mum is the cousin of Robert Smith from The Cure.
Have met a fair few musicians from going to the airport when they fly in to Perth. James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins/A Perfect Circle), Moose (Bullet For My Valentine), Jeremy McKinnon and Kevin Scaff (A Day to Remember), Ryan Key (the guy in my dp), Sean Mackin, Longineu Parsons and Josh Portman (Yellowcard), Josh Dunn and Tyler Joseph (Twenty One Pilots), Josh Francesci, Chris Miller, Max Helyer and Matt Barnes (You Me At Six) and Jason Aalon and Jean Nascimento (Letlive.)

Was in the SA under 18s before doing my knee, so a whole bunch of afl players. Eddie maguire told me that he remembered my name from Collingwood scouting when I met him. Ben folds ex wife was a good family friend so he came over to my house a few times and we always got backstage passes to his shows, gave Liam Finn a ride to his hotel after one said show. Who's that surfy chef who's on oprah or letterman or whatever? Curtis something. Well, him too a couple of times during first season of My restaurant rules. Finally, guys from empire of the sun as my brothers BFF was their drummer on tour (also one half of The Swiss) check them out if u get the chance.

Anyone know which clubs they played for? I assume they played for the Coasties/Lightning/Lakers and/or went down to Sydney to play for their teenage years, but don't know their young clubs. I know Oli went to St Eddies high school. Holland lived up Buff Point way, so probably went to a school and played for a team more north than your average coastie. I was on the ski tube at perisher when I noticed abc grandstand's peter Wilkins was on his way after a long day on the ski fields
We talked about why he wasn't on the coverage for the shute shield on that afternoon
Or how I enjoyed tuning into northern grandstand on the internet streaming (rugby codes) when I was staying in perth (afl) :D

I've met a whole bunch of musos through hospo and nightclub connections. Nate Campbell (Gudinski's DJ protege), Rob Caggiano and Volbeat to name a couple. I see a bunch of the guys from Taxiride regularly. Lots of AFL players, the North Melbourne footballers used to come into one of my old bars on Mad Monday. The guys I meet through the strip clubs are always the interesting ones though  I was partying with the owner of CQ and a couple of his import buddies last weekend.
