I always liked Paartalu and would love to see him back in the A-League. I think he is a little more than a mediocre player, not saying he is better than Brattan, but they are different kind of players. Paartalu would be good for the jets or anyone else who wanted to sign him.

Seriously though, he looked good in Brisbane's system, but I still think he's a fairly mediocre player. Brattan is a far better passer, better all around player to be blunt. A good pickup for most clubs in the A-league, but hardly a "huge" signing if he does go to the Jets. I agree, Eric was very good at being a robot, in Ange's system his next 5 passes were already planned out for him. Brattan is a much smarter player and better going forward. But Eric would still be a good pick up for another a league team.

But I'm not sure this is actually a thing... We'll have to wait and see.

jlm8695 wrote:Good player who was unfairly scapegoated as Rado then could do no wrong. Disagree. Chucked a massive tanny and wanted marquee wages when he found our Broich was getting them. Brisbanes success got to his head and he rated himself higher than he actually was. Looking forward to seeing the Viking back, but don't think he is the lynchpin to a premiership winning side anymore. Brattan vs Erik for the first time will be one to watch for sure though

Hmm, his attitude was terrible during Rado's time, he was very disruptive in the dressing room and put his own needs ahead of the team. And on the field he got found out a little bit in a less structured team under rado.

Would be the final Piece to the Jets Squad. They are looking so much better this year. May have to put a bet on before the bookies wise up and shorten their odds.

Decent squad on paper if true, best we've had fora few seasons. Fuck me, you even said the word and still posted in AF ](*,) pass. I apologise unreservedly for such a heinous crime. Gee, ok, apology accepted

Was an absolute machine in his first season with the Roar enjoyed watching him patrol the midfield - towards the end he seemed a bit slower and didnt seem as motivated (possibly not the only one though).

Once a player gets a highly paid contract in Asia they can fall off their game and live it up. Look at Ryan Griffiths had barely state league conditioning on his return.

pv4. What a legend.
Paartalu was one of my favourite players when he was at Brisbane. Sad to see him going to another A-League club. Newcastle are building a very good squad for next season too. I expect them to challenge for the premiership.
