call me cynical but nothing has changed.

Going this weekend to watch the fury take on the Roar NYL team I want to see if they play the exact same style as the A league team.

Bet they don't

Victory's NYL team certainly do, which gave me no end of frustration during our dual false nines phase

I don't know never got to seem them play. I am not sure it is totally necessary. Not sure where I stand on it. The Brisbane Roar NYT is in the NPL as the First team for the QAS. I know players in the QAS who could never play the Roar Style of game.
So I will be there as a purest looking for style and skill level as well as speed of play and thought.

The style of football now played by most a-league youth sides is a lot more consistent with the NC these days.

If you want a seamless transition from youth to first team, the youth team should play the same style as the first team?
The NC is for younger age groups.
IMO

Good article setting out the conditions that created the current German National Team.

Interesting how circumstances aligned to create better player development outcomes.

Again the issue that keeps coming through to me is the current professional football climate is a road block to "local" player development and the for locally developed player the opportunity to play between the ages of 17-21 at a high level.

This being a significant problem with the small pool of players at A-League level and NPL State level and the current transfer and player contract regulations creating a player and coach recycling phenomenon.
