Updated FFA Curriculum will have a lot as well.

The Skill Training Certificate is straight out of the FFA NC2 where there is a 6 week cycle to follow.

Being an outside observer, do these things actually improve quality?

as per FFA

Planning Guidelines
We can start with the same guidelines established with the Game Training Phase:
1) Divide the Skill Acquisition Phase into four separate years
2) Divide each year into 6-week cycles
3) Label each cycle and week (eg, ‘Cycle 3, Week 4’)
4) Insert the competition games and expected pre-season games
5) Mark the days on which training sessions for that age-group will take place

Now the coach (or ideally, the Technical Director) can plan the technical content for each cycle.
It is at this point, again, that one really sees the value of a well-constructed Team Model. Rather than devising random training session topics, the overarching content and themes for sessions are contained in the Model.
As explained

The Four Core Skills are rotated within the 6-week cycle, and each is given the same amount of time

Sorry for being so stupid but is there a schedule and drills to follow or is it left up to each individual TD to find drills for his area?

I did a SAP course for FFA rep coaches earlier last year.

I think more of this stuff is now covered in the new FFA Skill Training Certificate (old Junior Licence) and to a lesser extent in the FFA Game Training Certificate (old Youth Licence).

I thought the course was good, but I benefited enormously from attending quite a few of the FFTas's top SAP coach. I think he is supposed to be one of the best in the country though.

Ask FQ and David Abela where and when you can do this training?

It has really compartmentalised how technique can be divided into forum parts of Core Skills:

1. First Touch.

2. Striking the Ball.

3. 1v1 Attacking and Defensive skills.

4. Running With The Ball.

Brew, who used to post here, before Localstar drove him away, is one of the big SAP coaches in Australia for FFA. He might be able to provide advice, but I don't think he operates in your state.
