Apart from playing for them for many years, Poppa also spent time there as an Assistant Manager so I'm sure they've already got a handle on what he's like. Add in his success with the Wanderers on a (comparatively) shoestring budget then it wouldn't surprise me at all if Palace said fuck it and gave him the gig. Would be a monumental achievement for the league if he were to be given the gig - dude who's done most of his coaching apprenticeship in Australia being given the reigns in one of the best leagues in the world. Amazing.
