So you have no problem with the fact that the creature's left leg is completely ridiculous. Either the scroll is both in front of the knee and behind the leg at the same time - or else the leg is about 2mm thick at the knee.

I suppose if you imagine a more complete, professional, marketable and umm 21st century version of this emblem then you're right, it's not bad at all!

I wonder why they didn't go with a more detailed lion instead of the lion / bird combo. I don't hate it, it just could have been so much better.

And tbh, if they had 3 options that the members could vote on i don't think this would have won.

It's not as bad as some of you are making out, and a significant improvement on the old logo.

Yes, it is a very simplistic style, but that is not a bad thing. Whiz bang special effects with gradients and swooshy lines are great... if you are a junior baseball team. This logo is much more 'grown up' and imo will stand the test of time much better than the old logo.

My only gripe is that the shield (very curvy) does not match the lion/banners (very angular).
So I've mocked up (badly) a version with a squared-up shield.
I would also put 'FC' next to 'ROAR' to fill the space a bit better.



combined with umbro kits I think Bris will have a very clean professional looking image this season.

Yeah, Peugeot rang and are going to sue the Roar for Copyright infringement... Seriously, all they did was flip the lion and sharpen it's claws and give it an eye. That's it! And add the banner with the name. The lion is identical (minus the tongue - which is seen in some, but not all, of Peugeot's designs)

I suppose some are just easily pleased, eh?;)

I actually can't believe the people in charge signed off on it.

I don't know how Brisbane did it but that new logo is just as bad as their old one. They had a great opportunity and screwed it up royaly. It has potential I'll grant you that, but it looks like a basic stick figure of what they really want. It's just bad on every level and the more I look at it the more I love the old one. At least for all it's tackiness it looks like it was made by a progessional designer.

It's not the worst logo in the world, but it's far from the greatest. Regardless, from here on in, I shall now refer to Brisbane Roar FC, as Football Club of Zombie Lions from Brisbane.

As I said on the other thread, I feel for those people that got the old logo tattooed on themselves
