I read the article you linked too.
Interesting, if I were to sum it up, a womens basic instinct to not want to lose what they have triggers a mode of overcompensating to keep what they have.
Women whos partners allow them to run their lives, have no desire to treat their partner better because they have no fear of losing them.

The other thing I take from this one specific article is that to have a successful partnership you must be almost working against each other. This requires the male to imagine the female will always try to beat him into submission, and to counter that you need to always leave her with a sense of unease re: your commitment?

But thanks for the info, think I have a better idea what trp is about.

I think the most poignant thing to remember that this stuff is filtered through the eyes of men who a) have absolutely no education in anthropology or psychology and b) find the situation of finding and keeping women so difficult that they've actively had to invent a new system of doing it.

tl;dr - Uneducated desperate people devise uneducated desperate strategies.

Always/must/requires etc are terms that imply necessity or inevitability that aren't always there.

Most of this collection of works revolves around probabilities rather than inevitabilities, hence the discussion around NAWALT and women of worth etc.

I wouldn't put any value in detractors claiming strawman factors of poignancy without substance, it's entirely what you make of it and how, if at all, it applies to your own life. As others have already stated, it's generally a way many men live their lives without ever hearing of TRP theory.

True, interpretation plays a massive part of any system.
With the right set of conditions and a partner that suits those conditions and everything would follow to plan.

Like weight loss, some people find it easy others need to find a regime or system that works for them to reach the same goal.

A lot of the valid questions in this thread have been regarding red pill parenting, I found this comment today from an old thread on the subreddit.

Quote:
As a daughter, I realize now how important my father's actions and behaviors were in influencing my development. He was always available to listen and advise me when I had a problem. When I was upset, he would listen to me, but he wanted the facts of the situation - my emotional state was secondary. He would always tell me to take deep breaths, calm down and think. His voice was calm and he relied on logic to help me navigate through my problems. He never emphasized material possessions - and from a very young age, my parents made it clear that I could not get anything through pouting or throwing a fit. They did not spoil me, and they had a lot of rules, but not to the point of insanity. I wasn't allowed to wear spaghetti strap shirts, or show my stomach. My clothing was modest and modern.

My dad kept me busy. I played four sports until high school. Two my freshman year, and then focused on one. I played for club teams. I had a curfew, and school was important.

My father cannot be manipulated, and I can only remember one time in my entire life when I saw him angry and heard him yell. It was terrifying. He never had to raise his voice to let people know he was displeased or disappointed. To this day, the thought of letting him down is one of my greatest fears. I want him to be proud of me.

Be a good man, teach your daughter to think and use logic. Push her to be better, get her involved in activities. Whether it's sports, debate club, theater, or volunteer work. Teach her that it's important to be able to work alongside other people, even if you don't always agree with or like them. Athletics taught me so many lessons, most of which I didn't start to appreciate or recognize until college.

Teach her to be responsible with money. I had to work for my allowance, my parents didn't buy me a car or anything frivolous and expensive. I had to earn the things I wanted. I am the youngest child, and I grew up with hand-me-down everything, and I am so thankful for that. My parents always wanted to know where I would be, what friends I would be with, their numbers, and an adult always had to be around if I was at a house. I wasn't given free reign to wander around and do whatever I wanted.

We ate meals together most nights. My dad was involved in my sports. He wasn't a crazy spectator. When I was young, he coached two of my sports teams (different sports). He asked my if I enjoyed what I was doing. When I wanted to quit one sport my freshman year of high school, he told me that I had to finish out the season, and then tell my coach that I wouldn't be returning the next year. If I started something, I had to see it through.

My father loves to build things, and he had me help him from a very young age. I learned to hammer, saw, measure, cut, and use power tools. He remolded our old house, and whenever I was home, I was expected to help. I enjoyed working with him, even though it was hard.

My father has a way of turning any conversation into a lesson, and I have never stopped learning from him. He values family and has taught me that I have a responsibility to my relatives, regardless of where they live or when I last saw them.

Be a good man. Be firm and loving, and your children will be just fine. Don't worry about force feeding them specific ideas, talk with them, debate in a calm manner. Teach critical thinking and set a good example.

All the best to you.

Women worth giving your commitment to are rare. So rare in fact we call them Unicorns, and you can consider this TRP on hard mode. Emma Watson (hnnnnng) has taken over social media because of this Gender Equality speech she did. If you haven't yet watched/read it, can you please do.

Then, can you please give a detailed summary of your views of her speech, and the ideals behind it, from the point of view of a TRP? I'm genuinely interested.

I have seen it, it's quite funny. I don't really have anything to say from a TRP perspective because it's not really a TRP issue, more of an egalitarian one.

She's basically asking for equality where it already exists/women are advantaged, asking men to white knight for women and also complaining that women in the western world CHOOSE not to identify as feminists.

It's worth also saying that there are many gender equality issues in the third and developing worlds, but I disagree that modern feminism is the right movement to fix those issues when it has done so much demonstrated damage to Western Society.

Emma Watson earned twice what Rupert Grint did on the Harry Potter films when they arguably had the exact same ancillary roles. The oft quoted wage gap in the west has been debunked so many times that it's becoming boring. Happy to go into it further if you want more details.

Very few modern movements suffer from the no true Scotsman and general hypocrisy the way modern feminism does, and arguably other feminism waves also have but I'm not as interested in them.

Basically, every time a woman speaks out about why she rejects feminism, she is attacked and told that she doesn't know what feminism actually is regardless of whether that person previously identified as a feminist or not. The sustained attacks and hate that Women Against Feminism have received is an excellent example of this.

Basically, feminists want women to make their own decisions as far as those decisions align with the feminist ideal.

Morris, if we married each other and then both took TRP at the same time, would the universe collapse in upon itself?

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Generally, this wouldn't happen because we plan ahead.

If it did end up that we both made plans and a babysitter fell through at the 11th hour, there's a few variables that would come into play before deciding who goes and who stays ie: what's the occasion, who planned first, are kids welcome too, how long since you've caught up with that person/group, who stayed home last time etc.

It's a logical process, not an emotional one.

In that case, I'm struggling to understand why you (or whoever) feels the need to place a title on what you are or what type of relationship you have...

What is the difference between your situation/relationship, and that of any other 'normal' couple?

Fair enough... I'm baffled by the trend of having a group for everything. I'm not sure if society needs groups to show them how to do things right, or if groups form to convince themselves that they are doing right...

More of a philosophical discussion group that leads to understanding the world a bit differently than I used to more than anything else. There's an aspect of "why is it so?" mixed with "now, how to make it work in your favour"

Everyone has at least one circlejerk they are part of, TRP and 442 are amongst the many of mine.
