Could be an interesting signing and he's young enough to give him time to adjust to the a league. Would be good for the a league to have a current Asian international player.

This rumour, along with the Houssine Kharja rumour must mean someone has received their citizenship.

Might help to further strengthen the bond between Brisbane and Indonesia. They're football mad up there. They just need some proper infrastructure to become a stronger football nation.

It seems really odd that there aren't more SE Asian players in the league. Indonesia is a football mad country. Think of it if their top young player signed with a HAL club, Roar for example, there'd be huge interest for live tv broadcasts of all Roar games and potentially a lot of money to be made through jersey sales. Would be a huge boost for the Roar, and in turn the HAL, in Asia.
Obviously the players need to be of a high enough standard to do well in the HAL, which is not a certainty, but as we've found in the ACL and in some international matches these Asian countries aren't exactly easy beats.
Apart from Sukha at MV, there really hasn't been much in terms of Asian players in the HAL. Qu first season. Seo, Nagai, and the guy at the mariners and a couple of others here or there.
These Asian countries often produce more speedy and technically advanced players than we do, so why not start signing a few youngsters from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand etc.

We have to be careful where we look and who we look at signing.

The chances of signing a decent quality Japanese or korean player is much more unlikely due to the higher standards of their leagues. Players in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam etc would be attracted to playing at a higher level like in the HAL. We might be able to sign some of the top players frmo those leagues, rather than just nobody youngsters from an Asian country.

This guy however plays for the national team and seems to be playing regularly at club level, which is something Do and Takahashi were far from doing.

And as you said if we are going to look at places like Vietnam, Indonesia, We need to be signing the best player in the national team to have the full benefit. No ordinary player would do.

Someone should break bank for Suree Sukha. He's probably starting to get a little old, but he'd have destroyed the league 3 years ago.
