Rumours floating around on twitter. Some suggest at 9.30am and some say it will be 'major', whilst I also read that it is a player signing....

Nothing concrete and could be the next villa hoax arrival date, but anyone more in the know that could share some light?

Some say tom king, but I doubt that is anything worthy of a build up!

Could it be villa date announced?

Could it be Kennedy/bresc announced?

Is there room in the squad for a decent squad announcement?

And they wouldn't have some 'big announcement' build up, just for that let down. Also, you can rule out Tom King as a 'big announcement' sheesh lols - or then James Brown, Connor Chapman and co were all deserving of their own 'big announcements' too, lols. Gee not even Damian Duff had a big announcement build up or even Marquee Robert Koren - no big build up or hype for that (Though some perhaps had heightened expectations at some point).

It clearly must be Kennedy (Likely) or Bresc (Far less likely).

But hmmmm, IF Kennedy is somehow released and arriving earlier, for season start - THEN that may also allow/alleviate the need for Villa's stint or relieve the disappointment if he is not showing after all? That will also relieve disappointment somewhat, for any new members who've already signed up with the club, in the hope of seeing Villa? :-k

Villa isn't coming til October, JVS mentioned it in a pre game interview at the ground in Lismore before the Mariners game.

I know :lol: , but why not? He hasn't participated all pre-season and will take time to adjust. He could easily be an injury risk, coming straight in? If A-League R1 is his first game with the club, at any level, then it will naturally have to be a limited debut - he won't play the full 90.

We all presume it's a given that he'll start every game - but why should we? I guess if you have the option, you'd use it - but we saw how long ADP took to settle in, with his late arrival - same with Ono. I know this guy only 10 games, so it's the reverse even - get as much out of him as you can I guess. I suppose JVS may not be too unpredictable in this regard.
