Kochie has been huge considering how dire they were financially but Hinkley's coaching has been absolute quality, plus they've probably got the best fitness coaching set up in the world right now.

I think getting kochie as president has changed ports fortunes. He may be a tv presenter but he is a a business man first and him getting their sponsors on board has helped them no end . Getting a great coach in hinks also helped

Come a long way after 3 years

Hawks deserved to win. Port kicking 3.9 in the first term in the end cost us. Thank Hawthorn had roughhead being deadly accurate.

In a salary capped league Hawthorn have done an impressive job. 3 straight Grand Finals. 4 Straight Prelims.

I give them a really good chance against Sydney on the weekend.

Credit must go to the Hawthorn supporters who were very humble in victory on the weekend.

I am a Hawks supporter and I don't think we deserved to win the game. I am grateful we are in the Grand Final but if we play anything like that on Saturday, we will get flogged.

Port are a great club and will be challenging for the flag in the next few seasons. Very impressed with them!

On the other hand, I think the Hawks are at the end of their prime. We will be lucky to be a top 4 side in the next year or two.

I was really backing Port in for the Final.

Their turn around is amazing considering where they were 3-4 years a go, it makes teams like Melbourne and Carlton look even more pathetic considering the top draft picks the two clubs have wasted in their years of mediocrity.

Got back from the Port Hawthorn game after spending 20 plus hours on a bus from Adelaide to Melbourne return with hardly a wink of sleep.

first time at the MCG for a finals game.

Loved every minute of it. Despite getting so close proud of Port Adelaide and my fellow Port fans.

Enjoyed the pregame at Federation square and march to the G.

And kudos to Catman West (Geelong Fan) for contacting Mark Evans the operations manageer in lifting the restrictions on big flags for cheersquads at the end.

I know most of you football fans laugh at AFL atmosphere but there are a growing number of fans who are at least trying to change that with clubs developing there own pro-active supporters group and start chants other then "team name" clap clap clap and Let's go "team name" let's go clap clap

hopefully 2015 will be the year of the fan and more clubs can start bringing back the big flags again.

For one thing, Trevor Marmalade leaving really ripped out a chunk of the show's soul, much more so than Eddie leaving (which was overdue even then IMO). They fucked up in getting Brayshaw (a non-entity with the personality of a wet lettuce) and as for Garry Lyon...let's just say Zdrila's role on Thursday FC brought him to mind. Sammy, God love the old cunt, should be put out to pasture - he's had his time. And this is coming from someone who grew up watching him/worshipping the ground he walked on - what can I say, the guy was one of my comic heroes thru my high-school years:lol: :cool:

It's a shame because the format itself is timeless and brimming with potential even now, but IMO it's being squandered by people(the producers/writers moreso than the cast, dare I say) just going thru the motions...:(

Yeah I watch most weeks as my housemates always watch it, I don't mind it tbh but I definitely agree in saying it's gone down hill big time. Sam's well and truly lost it although he's been great away from the desk in street talk and in the Big Brother spin offs they've been running lately, Bill is still great value though.

Any AFL fans on here (still)watch The Footy Show? I've tuned in occasionally this year & IMO it's a pale-as-fuck shadow of what it once was..
