What are good sites/authors for fan fiction?

What are you ideas for fan fiction, if you were to write it?

I haven't read fan fiction in a loooooong time. I used to be quite into it (reading only), but it was only ever video game fan fiction. Mainly based on SNES/NES RPGs. I tried to read a bit of stuff based on TV shows but none of the stuff I found was ever that high quality. Saying that, it was at least 10 years ago that I last read any fanfic on a regular basis.

Fanfiction.net is a huge collection of stuff.

If I ever had the time and skills, I'd write a Harry Potter book, except it would be the human response to the threat of Voldemort. Seal team 6 taking out the big guy :lol:

Anyone with the ability to write, who opts to work on fan-fiction is selling themselves short and wasting their time. The only possible excuse is that you don't have any ideas of your own, in which case who would want to read the repetitive drivel that's being written?
