Once every second blue moon.

Carragher has 4 from 546.
King has 11 from 250.
King scores more, but Carra's rarely if ever used in the midfield.

What a strike rate !

I wonder if he's the player to have the highest percentage of own goals MORE than goals ?

That dubious honour would fall to Gary Sparke of Leeds. He scored three own goals and as a keeper, never troubled his opposite number.
Chris Nicholl scored all foru goals in a 2-2 draw between Aston villa and Leicester.
In a 2002 match in Madagascar's THB Champions League, AS Adema defeated SOE Antananarivo 149-0 when SOE scored 149 own goals in protest of a referee decision in the previous game.
And then there's this one, which is truely bizarre:
In the 1994 Caribbean Cup Preliminary Round, Barbados deliberately scored on their own goal in a successful attempt to advance to the Final Stage by forcing overtime against Grenada. Needing a two goal victory to advance, Barbados found themselves up 2-1 with 3 minutes left in regulation time. An unusual tournament rule awarded a two goal victory to a team that won in overtime. After Grenada realized what had happened, they in turn tried to score against their own goal, while Barbados defended their opponents goal, and vice-versa, for the final three minutes of the match.

Redknapp- Arsenal and Liverpool can't win it

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has written off the chances of rivals Arsenal winning the Barclays Premier League title this season.

The Gunners were held at Middlesbrough on Saturday and despite Liverpool dropping points and Spurs holding Manchester United later, Redknapp feels the champions will be Sir Alex Ferguson's men or Chelsea.

"One of those two will win," Redknapp said. "That's not being too clever, though, is it because there's only Liverpool up there as well with them?

"Arsenal aren't going to win it this year. I can't see them coming back into it and winning the championship.

"And I think Liverpool rely so heavily on (Steven) Gerrard and (Fernando) Torres.

"If something happened to Gerrard, I don't know what they'd do, really. So I still see them being short of Chelsea and Manchester United."

After frustrating United at White Hart Lane, Redknapp revealed he has long-term transfer targets for a team he wants to build.

"I know exactly who I want at this club," he said. "I've got a list of players, and it's not like four for one position. I know exactly what I want the team to be here."

His immediate targets are loans to solve his injury problems, with Jonathan Woodgate picking up a back injury against United and Jermaine Jenas tearing a calf.

The man speaks the truth.

:-S Liverpool minus Torres and they can beat The reigning champions AND runners up :-k Yep Harry, you're right on the money there. We've seen the way Chelsea struggle when you take away Terry. And Man U minus Ronaldo struggle mentally, despite the hinderance he causes when he just walks off the pitch...

We arent reliant on Ronaldo its just that Ronaldo thinks we are and when he plays he tries to boss the game game and run it for himself so when he isnt there we dont know how to play without Ronaldo hogging the ball

Its fair to say we wont win (it doesnt really matter what he thinks) but to say we CANT win is just silly. Hes saying we cant win at all. Not with or without Torres and Gerrard. Just plain and simple we cant win.

Then he says we rely on Torres and Gerrard too heavily. Torres has been out all season. Gerrards certainly a special player but we have beaten teams without him. Its not as if when hes not there we play with 10 men.

Its about the only way Redknapp will get involved in a title race.

Ruling Arsenal out is fair but us. We're halfway through the season an topping the table. Fair play Harry?

And whats it to Spurs fans. Tell them about their own team. Maybe hes trying to deflect attention from WHL for some reason.

Torres' absence this season showes we can do what we need to without him, and we've done well this season in the games without Gerrard too.
Other clubs fall to pieces without their top players aswell. It's kinda how having 'star players' works...you take them away and the club struggles. Like I said, we're not the only club.

I think you two may be missing the idea of a title challenge. Obviously you can play well without both Torres and Gerrard, but Redknapp is saying you aren't good enough for long enough without them.

An number of variables come into play within a season- he could be in a car crash tomorrow. 2 players is not enough to win a Premier division I think is the point being made here. I'd like Redknapp to be proven wrong as well, Liverpool are far preferable to the other Big 4.

I disagree, you'll find quality in depth in both United and Chelsea. By many of your fans own admissions, you need Torres back, and without Gerrard there is no way you'd have taken a point at Hull.

Liverpool are by no means lacking in depth. Masch and Alonso are quality players. Babel, Keane, Riera are all good on their day. Arbeloa has been solid. Carra, Agger and Skrtel are quality centre backs. Dossena is a good wing back. Hes got a great cross on him and speed to burn (not enough to outpace mendy, who does though?). I think theres as much quality in our seconds as anyone elses. Maybe lack of experience in our seconds is the problem?

Anyway. Nice job spurs fan. You did well turning the Tottenham thread into a liverpool one.

If there's as much depth in your seconds as anyone else, why'd play so shit towards us?

And if you didn't notice, every thread you and Afro post on turns into a Liverpool thread

Hey jazz, you seen these? From thfc's website:

Club reveals first images of proposed new stadium

At first look it's a bit like Emirates MKII, which I was a bit :? at. It's growing on me with each viewing though. If you read the engineers report, apparently the fans will be closer to the field than any other ground in England. My only gripe is that it's a oval stadium, rectangular ones always seem better.
