8.07 Paper Talk:The Daily Mirror claims Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho is lining up a bid for Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
My first reaction is to break my computer, but I'll comfort myself with the fact that we'd want at least double on what we payed for him and I'm fairly certain Inter won't pay over 30 million for him. [-o<

Inter wouldn't pay over 20mil for him. They chase bargain midfielders.

Well I do and DH Peligro, along with maybe Jeff Nelson of Minor Threat were the two best drummers in the early hardcore/punk scene. Of course there were better drummers, DK were hardly noted for their proficiency on their instruments. Peligro did what he did well, he was never out to be the best. Rant over.

Just because I don't play an instrument doesn't mean I can't appreciate if a person is any good or not. I don't play Violin, but Andre Rieu is a fucking embarassment. And if you want to talk underrated drummers, BILL WARD.

The DK's and DH Peligro are very good but I thinkl there are better drummers. Not taking anything away from DH Peligro. John Bonham >>> Other drummers.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Hey Afro, there are better players in world football than...well, anyone at Liverpool. Does that make it wrong for you to like them? There are better clubs than Liverpool. Do we expect you to abandon ship based on that fact?
And yes, CR does shit all over Torres. But who do you like more?
Just because something is your opinion, DOESN'T MAKE IT FACT. No matter how high your post count.

Obviously this is going nowhere. Not all the songs are 2-4 beats. Adios is one example where it's not, the song changes signature three or four times. But the most important thing to remember is that the drummer isn't there to be fancy in every song. He's there to keep the beat. Which is exactly what Schneider does.

:| He does exactly his job; the same job as every drummer in the world, very simply. And you acknowledge this.
Then how is he under-rated?

Edited by CharliePantou: 29/1/2009 05:12:25 PM This might just be my favourite ever post charlie. Quote:Obviously this is going nowhere. Not all the songs are 2-4 beats. Then how is he under-rated? There are plenty of drummers out there that struggle to keep a beat. The guy from Muse is one of them. Always loses the beat when he does a tom roll. Quote:Hey Afro, there are better players in world football than...well, anyone at Liverpool. What on earth does that have to do with ANYTHING? Quote:Just because something is your opinion, DOESN'T MAKE IT FACT. No matter how high your post count. So why set out to prove it wrong as you would to do a fact? Jazzmaster and Peligro voiced their opinion. I voiced mine. And yet I'm being chastised for having an opinion?? This gets increaslingly boring. Everybody else is allowed an opinion but I'm not, because I have more posts than you do?? Are you kidding??

It's the way you project it mate, as if what you say is the decisive factor. As if you're never wrong. For fuck sake, when someone has a differing opinion from you, it turns into a bloody debate! Which is exactly the point. You cannot argue opinion, as it is each person's UNIQUE view.
Nobody is saying "don't have an opinion". I am here saying to you, make sure it is opinion, and not "i'm right and you're wrong coz I said so"

Er, so he's under-rated, because someone else is shit and he's average? :-k Wouldn't that just make the Muse guy over-rated?

afromanGT wrote:I don't recall saying "DK is shit. There are better drummers. End of." It's the inflection in all your posts. I mean, all jazz did was praise him as a good drummer and you said something inflamatory like 'there are better drummers', as if this was definitive.

Funny thing about EXAMPLES on this website is that people always take them as the ONLY CASES unless you provide fifty of the fucking things.
