Coach’s Summary:
It was a very disappointing match. We dominated for the full 90 minutes but right at the death one of my substitutes makes the stupid decision to drag down Martin in the box. On the good side our corner tactic worked well, producing a goal from our smallest player (Busby) in the first half. Their goal was a stroke of brilliance, no keeper in the world would have stopped that. Again milan_7 was the man to set up our 2nd, getting his 2nd assist of the game. It was just a shame that we conceded that penalty so late in a game where we deserved to win.

Coach’s Summary:
Today was a good test for us, and we delivered. An away day at one of the minnows of English football, a terrible pitch and freezing conditions, but we still delivered. I decided to rotate because of injuries and because a lot of players struggling for fitness, but we were still excellent for the majority of the game. What was worrying though was our performance in the first 6 minutes. They hit the post after 18 seconds, disallowed goal after a minute and then they of course scored on 5 minutes, which forced me to make changes. I instructed our keeper to stop trying to play the ball to Glory von Perth, and to start trying to launch attacks himself instead and it worked. A nice header from Jparraga and a penalty from mack changed the game. Then of course gab got his two goals, one being a scintillating free kick, and that was the game. A dominating performance with a lot of possession was exactly what we needed.

Starting XI:

Coach’s Summary:
Another poor day for us. The game started poorly with Busby picking up an injury early on, forcing me to bring on a very tired Jparraga. We then got what was a very controversial penalty and mack once again converted from the spot to take us into the break with an underserved lead, having had just 3 shots compared to their 11. They came out firing in the second half though, with Vetokele netting a quickfire double due to some poor defending and questionable refereeing. From that point on however, we dominated the game and had an incredible 12 shots in the second half compared to their 5. The effort was not good enough though, as we still succumbed to a 2-1 defeat. It is disappointing for us because for a club that wants to finish in the playoffs, this is not good enough.

Coach’s Summary:
What a performance! The scoreboard may only say that we won 2-1 but with a performance like that it feels like 6-1. We started well with gabgabgab39 getting a real striker’s goal as well as macktheknife getting his 3rd goal in three games with an absolute beauty from 20 yards out. He cut inside onto his favoured right foot and smashed it into the roof of the net. We continued to dominate the rest of the match despite the injury to scouse_roar, and in the end should have been 3 or 4 goals up by the time Rhodes scored a consolation goal in the last minute. Our first league win of the season and it feels great!

Coach’s Summary:
Well that was boring, a bore draw where we didn’t produce anything more than a half chance. We had just under twenty shots yet twelve of those were outside the penalty area. Despite them having less shots than us, they definitely had the better chances. Scoring one disallowed goal and hitting the woodwork twice. The performance was not good enough and with a very short turn around before the Capital One Cup tie with West Brom we need to improve.

Coach’s Summary:
I am absolutely devastated. We went to the Hawthorns and played football the right way, a feat which I am proud of, yet they snatched the win out of our grasp. We lead twice thanks to goals from our captain and macktheknife, mack’s being one of the best goals I have seen live. Our defending cost us though and Berahino showed why he could be a future England star. I also disagreed with the referee’s decision to give them a penalty for a handball from Roar_Brisbane. I can’t fault their effort.

Coach’s Summary:
Wow what a game! It started off brilliantly with goals from 99 Problems, milan_7 and BusbyBabe, and going into half time we were flying. But when Brentford netted two in five minutes after half time, we were worried and made a few tactical changes. The changes paid dividends when macktheknife let rip with yet another right footed thunderbolt to surely put the game beyond all doubt. When that bloke with the really long name scored however, we were once again anxious of a comeback. With five minutes left though, macktheknife netted his second of the game and his 6th of the season with a goal at the near post. It was a fantastic game for the neutral but not so good for my heart as our defence was very shaky.

By the way, that takeover was not meant to happen. FM just thought it would be a good idea for a club which has just had a takeover to have another one .
