A fantastic game for the neutral, not so much for the coaches! We got off to a flyer with a magnificent start that included 2 goals n the first five minutes, but after a period of dominance they nabbed a two goals out of nothing to put them right back in it. We then moved to a more defensive style which worked wonders as we stopped their onslaught and eventually nabbed a winner. It was great to get all three points before the international break as we are now in 7th and just one point off 3rd placed Middlesborough.

The stuff of champions! In all honesty, we were awful from start to finish. The dominated all stats except the one that matters. That win moves us up to fourth and means we’ve knocked another playoff contender out of the mix for the moment. Onwards and upwards.

What a performance! We dominated the match from start to finish to make it five games undefeated and put us up to 3rd. Draupinho got us underway with a spectacular 25 yarder, and then doubled his season’s tally with a finish at the near post. We then made sure of the win with a strikers finish from 11.mvfc.11 after the break, before they got a goal back at the death. Probably our most dominant performance of the season against a resurgent Birmingham means that we will take on promotion challenger Sheffield Wednesday full of confidence.

That was a very close game, and it probably deserved a draw, but we still came away with a all three points and that was impressive. We played more defensive today, particularly after the goal, and it seemed to be working before A16Man was beaten at his near post. But then with 10 minutes to go we went for it, and grabbed the three points five minutes later when Jparraga slotted it past the keeper in a similar fashion to the way Niuhu did. A perfect October and six games undefeated, impressive.

Adam Pearson has completed his takeover of FourFourTwo FC, with many news outlets of the belief that he will appoint Martin Jol in the coming days, Kevin Airs has been told that a decision will be made shortly.

Kevin Airs has won the Skybet Championship Manager of the month award.

Scouse_roar will be out for 6 weeks with a back strain, while macktheknife will be out for 9 days due to a knee injury.

I have a new laptop so I'm in the process of trying to put the save up on steam so I can play it on there. Once I do I will hopefully be able to put up the player profiles and once I've done that the updates will hopefully be on a more regular basis.

I got a feeling my rather complex creation ('Glory von Perth') is struggling to fit into your team's style and/or formation. He seems to be the utility player I imagined? It may just be a little younger or less CA developed than some others, so that I understand. But even in my game, I found he works best in my rather unique formation. And despite his favour-ability towards being a DLP (Which he prob has alot of competition in this team!), I find 'his' stats more or just aswell suited to Box-to-Box Midfielder and conversely Ball-Winning Midfielder and I often find my adaptable young player playing that 'style' too, though same possie in central midfield. Make him a Ball-Winning DM and he's great, DLP he can be reasonable or better, depending on the match circumstance.

So what I mean is Milan_7, if you want to slot him in as a more defensive minded screener or support, with his creative traits turned down - go ahead, as designated to play within those traits my guy can be as effective as anywhere. But depending on your formation, he can be moderate to good, depending on the team's shape and demands and the opponent and conditions. Like any player, it's just one player and it's also reliant on gelling with the wider team and the wider team functioning well within the system, their roles etc...

Has Milan covered how he lines us up and more so, the tactical style and instruction? He's mentioned the use of 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1, but any more detail? Like, does his side utilise overlapping wingbacks or deeper sitting fullbacks? :-k

Hmm is my guy more creative than Zimbos' guy? You 'could' try switching Zimbos and my guy in a game and see if that works? That is if you are having trouble getting the best of your centre midfield?

Looking at those instructions, interesting. Why do you prevent short distribution from the GKer - does that not conflict with your 'Retain Possession' and 'Short Passing' style? Your formation and style is quite similar to my FM14 formation, just I have wingbacks. I actually if anything, encourage short passing from the GK, in order to build up from the back (I have that mode on too) and through the centre midfield.

Just with defending - I have my teams 'Closing Down More' and 'Utilising the Off-Side Trap'. The latter important because our teams are pro-active and often have numbers forward, in their half, so our opponents can often seek to catch our teams on the break. The off-side call has saved my teams from conceding on more than a few occasions! I switch tempos often, though in pro-active games have higher tempo and attempting to control, lower tempo. Also having Closing Down More is useful for formation's like ours, because we have so many numbers up forward anyway (Up to 4 players in this case). If Mvfc, Milan, Redkat and jparraga have some half-decent tacking, def pos and anticip then they could be extra-handy in this area. So when losing the ball, our teams' ability to win it back via our high pressing in their half, that can be a feature of our play. In my case, it's not unlike Ange's Socceroos team at this AC!
