In a general election, you need to attract the centre. That is where Hillary would eat him alive.

In principle I am against banning people from entering a country because of speech. For me, freedom of speech means defending the right of people you disagree with to put their views forward.

Unless it is akin to shouting "Fire!" in a movie theatre when there is no fire, I think the way you beat bigots is to have the better argument, not by preventing them from speaking. It just gives them the air of credibility, and allows them to play the martyr.

You're better off just making jokes and mocking him. When Trump showed his birth certificate and sued Bill Maher for a joke about Trump being the offspring of his mother getting it on with an orangutang he looked like the incredible weak fool that he really is.

Similar to how his words about banning Muslims will help ISIS recruitment, banning him from the UK will just give him more power.

Fucking PC progressives, all about good intensions but always fucking shit up

Ban Trump is gaining momentum =d>

Quote:
Online Petition to Ban Trump Is Now the UK’s Most Popular

Donald Trump may be gaining support at home after proposing that the country ban Muslim people from traveling to the US. But across the pond, a petition to ban Donald Trump from traveling to the United Kingdom has just become the most popular petition on the government’s website.

Posted just two days ago, the petition has already reached 458,230 signatures and counting. At the time this story was written, it had garnered 7,861 signatures in the last hour alone. That puts the Donald petition ahead of a September petition urging the government to accept more asylum seekers and increase support for refugee migrants in the UK, which led to Parliament’s announcement that the country would resettle 20,000 Syrian refugees.

Not that Great Britain doesn’t have its own immigration opponents. In third place is a petition to do just the opposite, asking the government to shut down all immigration completely, an idea that has already been struck down by Parliament.

Because the Trump petition has gotten more than 100,000 signatures, the government will now consider debating the issue in Parliament. While banning Trump outright may seem outlandish in the US (though not nearly as outlandish as banning an entire faith group from entering a country whose Constitution protects freedom of religion … just sayin’) there is precedent for this kind of thing in the UK.

The country has banned people for “unacceptable behaviour” in the past, including celebrities like Martha Stewart, Chris Brown, and Mike Tyson. The UK has also banned promoters of hate speech, like Stephen Donald Black, a Ku Klux Klansman and founder of the white supremacist internet group Stormfront, which, incidentally, has had to upgrade its servers thanks to the traffic boost it’s getting from Trump-related content.

If you ever get the time, stream Fox News Radio at around 10am. It's basically gun nuts abusing the progressive host for three hours. It Really shows how depressing this campaign has become.

I disagree that Iowa is the most important primary, it may seal the fate of some of the candidates but some will hang on until New Hampshire.

Cruz could win Iowa and not win another primary.

A combination of Iowa and New Hampshire will be very telling as Iowa tends to favor the conservative - religious section of the GOP while New Hampshire tends to be a lot more moderate in the way it votes. That is why Bush, Christie and Kashich are pinning their hopes on good showings in New Hampshire while not really trying in Iowa.

Rubio should be Trump's biggest threat but Cruz is doing better in the polls. Cruz could very well win Iowa as he has replaced Carson as being a big threat to Trump. Carson was comfortably ahead there at one stage.
Cruz could win Iowa, Trump win New Hampshire with Cruz second, same in South Carolina with Cruz winning Nevada. Meaning the race is framed as Trump vs Cruz heading into Super Tuesday and leaving Rubio far behind after that.

The Reuters poll mentioned in the article above is not well regarded. The 43% Trump recorded in the previous poll is regarded as being far too high and not supported by other polls so the drop of 12% is at least a bit inaccurate. He is still is comfortably leading in this and all other national polls at the moment as Carson is really falling in the polls.

He rose 15% or something and then dropped by 12%, all this shows that the polls are wildly fluctuating.

What's important is that he is lapping the field and has been doing so for 3-4 months at this point.

It'll get closer when people start to drop out either just before or just after Iowa.

Make no mistake, he is the favourite for republican nominee

Biggest threat is Rubio now that Bush is done.

Carson capitulated like we all knew he would, and the only other person within a shot is Cruz, so it's down to a three horse race at this point.
