channel 9 and tennis australia are launching a FAST4 series next week featuring federer, nadal, lleyton and verdasco where each set has only 4 games in it
cricket, lawn bowls, netball and now tennis have shortened/hybrid formats, all of which are televised and aimed at getting new people interested
is this a good/bad thing and is there a sport that should invest in something similar?

It's stupid, arcade entertainment for people who need something stimulating and easy to watch/understand

Or rather don't want to have to spend a lot of time at a stadium etc for a full game.

These sport formats are just a reflection of the current way the market consumes entertainment. A lot of people can't get through a TV show without switching off half way through to read facebook or take a selfie. How can you expect to keep their attention for 2 hours?

if my bro in law wanted he could watch condensed games of nba where its all points . Maybe they could do that .
